Vi will look at my roles, laugh at my failure, and cull anything that is overly stupid.

: Flavor name from whatever. Alignment does not have to follow from flavor (so Hannibal Lector, town is fine). You may suggest mechanics, you probably won't get them.

The Mechanical Complexity:

Pick a number from 5 to 10, where 5 is an average complexity theme game and 10 is some Tarhalindur stuff. I'll average everyone's responses and make it to that!

Bastard Level:

This will determine how much fucking with the players is occurring. 1 would be straightforward "everything GreyICE says is true", 5 is "trust literally nothing"

Caveats (because there has to be some):

Town:

There will be more town players than Mafia players.

Mafia:

There will be a minimum of 2 Mafia

Third Parties:

There is no minimum of Third parties. The maximum, by my rules, would be 8. Third parties may win with the town, with the mafia, with both, or with neither (solo victory). No Third party will have a victory condition that exactly matches either the town or the mafia victory conditions.

If these numbers aren't met, I'll work with players to get there (it has to be a game of mafia). Most likely, they will be.

Diginova, to answer your earlier question, I thought CoolDog was scum because he somehow missed Maruchan's policy vote on McMeno, but he didn't miss the other policy vote.

Also, as soon as I called him out as scum, he called me town based on my page 1-2 which I felt like was CoolDog's attempt to get me off his case by buddying/buttering me up with a town read.

I don't know how to take his other posts. They seem very aggressive, not naturally so for CoolDog who seems more happy go lucky than aggressive.
Then again, I have never played with CoolDog, so I may not have a good grasp of his playstyle.

Fair enough. I haven't been really transparent with my thoughts this game since I haven't really been trying. I do believe that CoolDog is scum and have thought so since the beginning of the game.

I did not like his early aggression and I think he is just trying to keep up appearances. He is not super active here like I thought he would be. He comes in posts a bluster of words and then leaves for a few days. That looks like typical scum trying to skate by. CoolDog is weird though that he is a mix between the scum that tries to steer the game and the scum that lurks. :shrug:

I have a town read on you, Plot. You are one of the few people actively scumhunting and actually playing in this game. I don't see you putting in this amount of effort as a scum or third party (although a wincondition could make you feel more town than third party).

Skold - is lurkerish, like I pointed out earlier, but I'm not sure he is worth going after right now.

Massive - I think is probably scum given that ability. At least not town. That ability seems more "this role needs to survive" more than "town ability".
Maru - has been lurkerish, I did not like his early game given the selective policy lynch stuff.
Menmo - lurkerish and does not contribute, honestly should be vigged at some point in the game like Wgeurts

So... yeah... This game does not have a lot of activity or information to parse through. It is funny that this game has been so slow despite being bastard and filled with rather spammy type players. I think that is on account of them choosing 3rd party or scum and tending to be survivalistic.

Also, my vote for some reason is now stuck on CoolDog. Meaning if I vote anyone else I will receive infractions. My role is a modified inventor of sorts... The mod gives me three names at the beginning of the day as a way to "activate my invention powers" if I vote them correctly, for a long enough time, I get access to the inventions. Apparently my vote also becomes glued to that person.

This game is a Choose Your Side game. It is notorious for having a lot of third parties? Why? Because third party is a role that individuals seldom have the chance to play on MafiaScum. The sheer luck involved in drawing a third party role if one exists is low and a stigma hangs in the air around here that mods should not attempt to include third party roles. For that reason, this game usually has about equal amounts of town + third party roles. Mafia usually are less popular because it is typically harder to win in a game like this that can easily devolve into a trust tell phenomenon that is sweeping the nation! For that reason, you only get people who think they have a strong mafia playstyle or Jeanne...

Anyway, with that in mind, let us look at Klingon's "case".

Here I call out Maruchan as possibly being third party. I also make a passing comment, that given MY point of view AT THAT POINT IN TIME should make sense to anyone with a brain. Again, I am not asking anyone to claim their ROLE. I'm not asking anyone to claim their FLAVOR. I'm literally asking everyone to just claim the paradigm that the mods used to design their role. I have no idea what could possibly result from a 5-5 paradigm, a 8-2 paradigm, or a 1-10 paradigm, yet I get accused of PR hunting here? This is a joke and I hope you all see Klingon's accusations as unsubstantiated or at least wrong headed, if not illogical.

It is at this point that I remind everyone, that thus far of the "revealed" alignments. I was not wrong at all with my initial suspicions. I called out Wgeurts as not town. I also called out Maruchan as not town. Guess who was right about both of those people by page 2?

After messing around with Nacho, I ask why people are voting Plotinus, who at the time is clearly the most town individual in the game. Plot was scumhunting, interacting with everyone, and generally being active while everyone else was... not. People may have been doing 1 of those three things, but not all 3.

I know I have said that I thought Plot was town for a long time, but it has come to my attention that I did not explicitly state she was town. Since that post, 119, I have thought Plot was town given Plotinus's play.

Now for Diginova, 467 is the time where I am notified that I have to only vote CoolDog which is why I moved from Skold to CoolDog. Also, the comment about Klingon was me mixing up games, which I've unfortunately been doing the entire day phase. I voted her because of my role.

I considered this, but decided it seemed like unnecessary information. Besides, having your PM say "you're the only town" instead of "you're town" may be bastard, but doesn't change the fact that I'm town.

Honestly Nacho, my vote stems from the fact that you could have done so much more to communicate given your PR. Plus, you haven't really been doing anything in this game. I don't have a good grasp on your play as scum, but I feel like you would be doing more if town.

Also I did not mean to mess up this game with Space Dandy as much as I did. For the longest time both games were progressing at the same pace. Pretty sure Kling was the only player in both but it was enough to fuck me up and get everything confused
