Oi countdown, you missed stating parentheses are allowed.

Exponents are the only normal mathematical tools (PEDMAS) that aren't. Although, I do kind of want to allow them for the fun of it. I know I was able to solve one that came up on the tv show with them that was otherwise impossible.

I want to change things around a bit, so therefore I'll go with the maximum 5 vowels.

And also make it all 4 larges please.

I've just realized that with the format I'm using for this means that getting anywhere between the less than 5 away and between 5 and 10 away scoring systems for the numbers games makes bothering to possibly get that extra but closer pointless.

I'm therefore considering actually giving out the numbers points on a flat line basis for how far away from the target you were, until I actually went researching (and grabbing the rules from jelly, I actually thought it was done in a straight decreasing method anyway. For all I pay attention, maybe they do on the Australian Letters and Numbers, which ous the version of countdown I have to watch.

Wikipedia says it was just me not paying attention to what they've gone up to when they've failed to reach the target. Which is sometimes because I'm still trying to find a solution to it. But even so, it's possible that with my change of format, I might change it anyway. (it would of course be retroactive if it happens)

This is just to see the scores table would look like if I changed how I was doing numbers scoring. (that change has not been put into effect, and quite possibly won't now that I see that I can the full scope of what it would mean. The people more than 5 away from the numbers target get hurt too much via that change)
