Blitz 3: Dead of Winter Mafia - Game Over

On the outskirts of WiFom City, Titus has received reports of strange rumblings in crypts on the outskirts of town. Some citizenry were stammering about zombies. Titus didn't believe it. Unfortunately, two zombies have snuck into town, thus trying to keep their existence secret for all time. The town has figured out there are indeed two zombies due to the funny drugs placed around. The town has to stop the zombies before we all go mad... or maybe Titus will start to play for Team Z.

Win Conditions do not change. No Cults, Jesters or Lynchers. No moderator lies beyond millers/godfathers. Game is not bastard. There are secondary winconditions.

The Rules

• Day start.
  
• No Out of Game Communication.
  
• PT and QT content cannot be quoted. Paraphrase is acceptable.
  
• Any PM from the Mod Cannot Be Quoted. Period. Violations of this Rule will be harshly dealt with.
  
• Anything ambiguous will be handled by whatever the mod(s) thinks you mean.
  
• Any random actions will be resolved by the mod using dice tags in the mods PT. The first player in the random order list will be 1 on the dice. This does not mean there are necessarily random acts.
  
• Any action that is not submitted will be a no action. A compulsive action that is not submitted will be performed at random, without regards to their alignment.
  
• Play nice with others, but not too nice. This is mafia. If it attacks the person or berates them, that's not allowed. If it says the player is sucking, that's fine.
  
• Site Rules Apply.
  
• The game cannot be broken by flavor. Scum have fakeclaims.
  
• Votes must be bolded. Vote Tags or Color are strongly preferred. If I miss it, it doesn't count until I see it.
  
• Unvotes are not required, but extremely helpful.
  
• Days are 72 hours.
  
• Nights are 24 hours long and cannot be shortened.
  
• Scum can kill and use their night ability.
  
• Scum have daychat.
  
• Quoting moderator actions, even in jest, will result in modkill.
  
• Prods go out if you have not posted for 24 game hours.
  
• All night actions may be sent to the mod early (even during the day if you are absent during night). Last action is what will be used.

Well this new deathless setup of Mafia certainly is interesting.

Do you think that the scum attempted to make a kill last night or decided not to?

Almost certainly attempted a kill. No reason not to when there's 13 players alive. My best bet is a Doc protected their target, and given that gameplay appeared to be unlynchable, my guess is that they wanted to get rid of him via nightkill. Keep in mind that in some cases, the secondary wincons might give away hints to the role, so there's a good chance they know more about gameplay's role than us; they probably have some idea as to whether he's one-shot or just flat out unlynchable.

Now the VC is really all fixed. Turns out copy and pasting post 0 link into my automated VC ignores the prompt to start at Day 2. Who woulda thunk that?

@Titus - If an Investigative is roleblocked they will get a "No Result." If their target takes/receives no action, does the Investigative still get "No Result," or do they get "Your Target went nowhere"/"Nobody visited your Target"?

The question is a little unclear, so forgive me if I butcher it.

1) Any investigative gets no result if blocked or the target is flipped.
2) If a tracker followed someone who went nowhere, they would receive "Your target went nowhere."
3) If a watcher watched someone and there were no visitors, they would receive "No one visited your target."
4) If the target commuted/is ascetic, the investigator would receive "Your target could not be found."

I may modify the above messages for flavor but the idea is consistent along all games.

The residents gather deciding one of their own was using the zombies to overthrow things or worse yet, a zombie himself. Hiplop's protests fell on deaf ears. Why was he so rigid with his vote? It was who he was. It was too late for reason to win out at the camp.

You all gather at the center of the town. Yet, you discover two of you are missing. Given zombies are nearby, or people present are in the early stages of zombification, you have to find the bodies. No one is rising from the dead around here.

First you find A Royal Saint, dead by some math books. She had many in depth calculations on who the scum were. The shooter burned these calculations though. Going through A Royal Saint's things you find out he was Mike Cho, Town Double voter. Swift and deadly removing threats before they could talk their way out was his game. Given her bullet was to the brain, no reanimation will happen.

You keep looking and you find Expedience with his brains eaten. Knowing protocol, you burn his body. You search through his house for clues, only finding elaborate tunnels. "This is where he'd go with people during the day. He was a day neighborizer." Titus blurts.

Dejectedly, the town gathers in the center.

It's now 8 v 2 with a lot of mass murder growing ever closer. Can the town hold off the zombies? Only time will tell.

Each wincon was based on actual anti-town behavior I saw.

I feel town definitely had a huge advantage, and we had some huge anti town behaviors (with essentially lying to each other) but I think it helped that we all knew some of our stuff was bs too.

So the thing helping balance actually didn't do much pushing it in the other direction.

For example my win condition.

I think that's part of the swing. People knowing town were going to lie isn't really something I could control for.

If you had a different wincon, you might have thought TSB was town but you had the fake claim a PR with night actions one.
