There were wild rumors that began to float around the Gem Homeworld and various colonies after those first few attacks. Most exaggerated and absurd of all of these was that there existed a Pearl who could outfight even a Quartz. Witnesses to the massacre at Blue Diamond's court knew the truth; this sword-fighting Pearl was every bit as capable as the rumors state. No one knew the source of her power--that is, no one but the Crystal Gems.

On their way back from the assault on Blue Diamond, Pearl watched her stoic leader and sighed contentedly. Yet another skirmish was won in the name of The Crystal Gems. Despite that, she never felt her duty to Rose Quartz was enough. If she could just prove herself in all the perfect ways, Rose would acknowledge her once again and... Those fanciful thoughts were cut short as the short peace was broken. Homeworld Gems were upon them, and Pearl was in combat once again. This time, however, Pearl and Rose did not have the element of surprise on their side. This time, Pearl knew she had to sacrifice herself for Rose. The brave gem fought to the bitter end, and was crushed underfoot by the relentless assault of the Homeworld Gems.

As she retreated into her Gem, Pearl smiled to herself. Maybe by the time she woke up, Rose be there to reciprocate her admiration. So long as Rose survived, any pain was worth it.

I'm also absolutely livid that you guys had a two hour long day two, prevented me from even participating in that phase, and then turbo lynched RR who I had a strong townread on and would have staunchly defended him yesterday.

But no let's let the guy who lied about being an IC for no reason strong-arm a lynch on a hydra of two incredibly potent town players, and the only slot that was voicing suspicion of said fake-IC. After the nightkill the night before was on the only other person who supported RR.
