Theoretically, the mod's function is to hold information. The way the logic played out in my past experience was that lynching the mod would weaken that and release some information. Mind you, this wasn't our reasoning in lynching him (we did so because "lol why not"), but that was the mod's logic in choosing before the game started to have a player exposed if that were to happen.

We were really thinking Lilith might have been scum for claiming late in the day like that.

I don't consider a neighborizer confirmed anything, though mods seem to tend to make it a town role on the site. his actions so far have made me skeptical of him, where as Frozen Angel seems more like a open book.
