OK, well for me that whole back and forth with Fate and Davsto was very show offy/scum theatre like. Here is how it went;

Like, Fate presents what I believe was a half decent case against Davsto. Davsto responds in an unsatisfactory way IMO, Fate retracts his entire case and backs off. Davsto then doesn't push Fate for presenting a bad case, and then Fate calls Davsto out for not pushing him after presenting such a bad case.

Immediately after, Fate says that Davsto is 'too reasonable to kill' (strange choice of word) and then Davsto says he thinks Fate is probably town for just accepting his case was bad (even though it wasn't).

Big song and dance but they both end up just lightly town reading each other?

So, yeah. That's where I'm at.

OK, so I reread the interaction I didn't like between Davsto and Fate and I have come to a different conclusion.

I think the case Fate presented originally wasn't great. The reason I liked it though was because of the point about Davsto making sure everyone knew his wagon was RVS - like he was trying to diffuse any potential push that might happen. Funnily enough, this is the only point that Davsto didn't respond to and Fate didn't chase it up.

After reviewing, it seems more likely that scum!Fate presented a bad case on town!Davsto and didn't want to continue pushing it after Davsto's repsonse. Could they still both be scum? Sure. Especially with Davsto doing zilch in terms of actual scum hunting (has anyone shown an ounce of this from Davsto yet?) If not, then you need to reevaluate your read on him.

I don't get the townreads on either Fate or Davsto but I seem to be the only one who isn't town reading them so, I don't know. Feel like I'm just wasting my time.

I've always felt worse about performer than bbt has. I made an early case on him which....his response was underwhelming. They are soft buddying us throughout. I'd be happy with a lynch here.
