So Tesla is gearing up to the release of their newest, consumer-priced offering, the Tesla Model 3

~$30,000 after $7,000 electric car government rebate
~200+ miles per charge, free charging at their stations

Not really a big sedan guy but this car looks sharp.
Love
the full-glass top.

Did some mental math on the way home from work today and I spend about $1,000 a year on gas alone.

The Tesla Supercharger station is less than 5 miles from my house.

Really contemplating selling my SUV and getting one of these bad boys.

The charging station is a 5 minute drive from my house, in heavy traffic.

Hard to say, given that there isn't a hell of a lot of information regarding options available.

The Model S has a "subzero" option that includes a number of things, I see no reason they won't implement that with the Model 3.

Electrical issues suck ass.
I hate when we get electrical digs in because rarely is it "this wire was broken, all is well now." Usually more like "you need a fusebox/pcm/something expensive."

I mean, I'm sure once Teslas start having issues they'll be really pricey to repair, but getting a new car and saving so much in the beginning I'd a huge bonus.

(I know I'm totally going against the point if this thread. I really like Teslas though!)

I couldn't care less about resale, as I plan on driving it till it stops clickin'.

Repairs, as mentioned earlier, are probably going to be a fair bit more affordable than the S and X models since the price range is nearly 33%.

People that can afford 100,000 USD cars can afford a yearly 900 USD service for their high-performance luxury electric vehicle.

They will not be able to feasibly charge outrageous prices on a consumer-priced model for very long without going under from
literally no one buying their vehicles after the word spreads
