It's worth noting that N tricked the rest of the NRG by telling us he'd be announcing the changes at April 1.
It's also worth noting that we standardized night action resolution, voyeur, traitor and gunsmith! People might disagree with individual choices but that's undeniably progress.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

The best way is to have three results for any investigative role: a positive result, a negative result (e.g. you tracked X nowhere) and no result (which is what you get when you target a Commuter). And then you include what you would PM the player in each of those cases in the role PM for maximum clarity.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

If not, is the difference large enough to be worth splitting hairs over? A role should be distinct from another role enough that there's no confusion as to which is which.
The outgoing motion detector doesn't detect whether their target has made a kill, so that alone makes it quite a bit different from follower.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

And the new night-specific modifier.. Can that one be used as "From night x and beyond" (since apparently you can specify a range of nights)? For example, I don't want something used on night 1, but don't want any restrictions beyond that, so: Night 2-and beyond cop, or what ever power role.
Both of those don't seem too unreasonable (and would work fine as a variant role) but I've also never seen either of those in a game. Normal games are to some degree about predictability (or at least taming the level of unpredictability) so that does mean we do care about how common a role is.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

I don't really think spreading things across multiple wiki pages is desirable.
It's a bit of a grey area. The role doesn't specify that the one-shot abilities need to be distinct, so there is some space for giving a JoAT a 2-shot ability but it should at least feel like a JoAT; I wouldn't allow the example role you gave but e.g. 1xCop,1xRB,2xDoc would be okay.In post 332, Sméagol wrote:- Are jack-of-all-trades required to only use 1-shots, or can you use other numbers? For example: Jack-of-all-trades (1-shot cop; 2-shot neapolitan).Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!
