I've contacted the rest of the Montrealers as well, but the biggest airbnb I've found so far is 16 and at our current pace we'll bust.
Like, I'm cool with renting two if necessary but it's good to have cheaper options :p

The max I can host is literally two, and one spot would already be reserved. Well, unless people want to set up air mattresses in my kitchen--I have a large kitchen and a small everything else. So I think a second AirBnB is a good idea if this is even 50% of the size of the Chicago meet.

Unless your goal is to give all the poor southerners frostbite, this seems like the second worst time to hold a Montreal meet (with the first worst being during February), but I will definitely be there.

Well, it's a good time block for anyone in college/uni, because nobody ever has class during those weeks. It's far enough that people can save for it, but close enough that... Well meets should be as close as possible obv.

Also it's hilarious to watch the southerners experience cold weather

hey I DID survive the winter festival in ottawa (it was awsum) and only wore 11 layers of clothing tyvm

also when last I was in montreal I stayed at the auberge bishop which was within walking distance of the art museum so that might be an option for some pple. it is incredibly affordable.

Clarification: Right now I'm looking at a 4 day meet setup, but what limits me is that I can't foot the initial bill for a week. If people want to go for longer and presend their contribution (as we get closer to the date obv) then we could see about turning this into a week meet!
