we are a VERY STRONG benefit to town if alive, so we need to stay alive if at all possible. i'm gonna have to scum it up a bit and also be kind of obtuse so that i won't get nightkilled, ESPECIALLY if titus is scum (or some of the other people who know my town play from certain games)

so basically we just need to play like survivors. we should not claim until or unless:

there is an L-2 (let's not wait for L-1) wagon on one of us, at which point whoever has the wagon on them should claim mason, and state that their buddy will remain hidden until it's necessary to reveal themselves... and you should also ask for Doc protection at that point. and if you do ever flip, the other one will be believed immediately should they need to claim.

or, after one of us dies:

if someone else claims to be the mason buddy of the dead one, they're scum. we counter-claim, and get scum lynched.

I think the masons claim is too dangerous to take all the way to lylo. Do not be ridiculus. the town is too in a fray. If it has to happen it will. The Mafia will not nightkill us for that reason. It is a play that might have to be made so not counting is as something that needs to be done.

Moving forward schedule:
I know you hate when I saw this just deal for a minute. We need to think about what will best create clarity for the town. We cannot spend another day with the masons on the foreground. If one of us is lynched the other will fall in the night phase that is the reality of it. We either need a good lynch tomorrow. Or we need the town to take out one of us. I know it sounds self-destructive but listen first okay. The town would reap more for information we leave behind instead of listening to the need to rally against us. That becomes a problem and will not help us in catching the mafia because it provides a distraction that hurts the town.

Ideally we are able to drive a successful lynch tomorrow because I have less work to do tomorrow. I have time to hard run something. Therefore, we need to be clear who it is before the phase. You can have me for four more hours and then I have to do something now but I will be back. I would be awesome if we could orchestrate a time to both be online together to discuss this.

Anti-Nos is a low possibility for scum because if they had never talked about each other, what are the chances he'd check nos? Was it his own idea to pt check him? Wasn't he totally off his radar? Why wouldn't he check him at that point? As a scumbuddy it'd be a really convenient clear, and I certainly wish Nos was doing more for the game, but the same applies to you and ranger.

Rangers extreme inactivity and then extreme activity seems like it could be a town tell. What was the big wagon on her for, on D2? Mental note to check this. Suzune, you please check too!

Dunn only really pipes up when there's something appearing to go sideways for him, and he tells people they're wrong a lot, but isn't actually doing anything actively to solve things. I'm sure this can be argued, but the more I read, the more sure I am that the Dunn slot is scum. Additionally, Titus and jackrito had shady interactions. I need to read more.

I think I could honestly find a good excuse to scum read or town read anyone at this point, so I need to step back and take a look at the bigger picture. Please help me find a plot arc for each character, such as, for me:

if one of us dies, the other one should claim that yes we were masons, but we had a one-shot/reflexive shared-watcher role

1. we didn't immediately claim, because we wanted to stay alive longer
2. we auto-watch ourselves if one of us is killed (not other actions), probably for balance reasons. otherwise our watch goes through on our target, if we target someone. if not, no action.
3. we haven't watched anyone yet since we wanted to save it for one of us being killed, because that would basically 100% net scum. which is another reason why it's very important that one of us doesn't get lynched, because the other needed to be alive to turn results when they were killed.

then, if one of us dies:

the other claims all this, and says we were targeted by dunnstral (fake result but he's scum)

if we both live, we can claim dunnstral targeted us anyway, but we don't know why we are alive
HOWEVER, we are only informed about KILL actions, and dunnstral claimed a VT


either way, both of us against dunnstral, and he dies.

it'd work to get him dead because the town will think:
a) if he flips town, we'd be liars and we'll be lynched, so we wouldn't do it as scum because that'd mean we're 100% both scum and we'd be floating the game completely on this one play to kill someone who's not even trying to lynch one of us.
b) it makes no sense for us to lie about this
c) we've already seen other "conditional" roles in this game, such as TiphaineDeath's self-protect or double-protect choice.

There's a neighborizer/neighborhood AND a masonry

Of COURSE there could be a scum private thread detector

It would work directly with the neighborhood spy (which maybe couldn't read our topic but still)



The reason I can't settle on scum is because I haven't even considered anti

But as town, anti should have been MUCH, MUCH more active! Instead he's made excuses, made posts like 5492, and has been USELESS while he waits for town to lynch one of its own

While he and [scumbuddy], probably Dunn/nos, more likely Nos, just coast. And coast. And coast.

There's no sense of urgency or good faith to help town solve the game because, simply, they're NOT town.
