2: If Glorious/Vengeance fail due to priority, do Glorious/Drive/Scythe still trigger their Before Activating effects?
3: If I hit with Reaping when you're out of Tokens, do you gain one less token, or do I get my Rush back?
4: Does Retribution change the answer to 3?

My guess would be no/yes/the latter/no, but I don't want to make any faulty assumptions. Everything else seems like it shouldn't cause any problems.

Me being afraid of you having tokens is going to get me nowhere fast. Maybe I could manipulate it somehow, but I'm assuming that I'll rarely get a chance to stun you anyway, so I'm not going to pass up damage because of that. I was going to Strike, but I didn't because... I thought you would Burst? Either way, I definitely would have spent the extra power had I gone for the strike there. I didn't realize Aegis alone was 8 stun protection until after you had already anted the stun guard from force, if I had then I might have used Strike anyway.

(Note: By quick I mean beat wise, not time wise. I'm still probably going to only want to take one turn at a time mostly.)

Obvious move part 3! Also, Judgement's effect seems completely useless, because if you would prevent someone from switching sides with you, then instead they're at range 1. Where it misses. Maybe preventing a retreat would help, like if you Burst here I can still switch sides with you, but it does not act as Lance/Valiant. On that note, after Hikaru every character I've played has had some way of preventing side switches. I don't think that was on purpose?

Ugh, I could have just finishered. I know that's why you were anteing slowly, so you would only be down one Vengeance Token, because I definitively would have Rushed the Finisher, but that still would have been better. I just assumed your only options were Dodge and Burst.

Dodging is the only way out of my Finisher. I also happen to have literally nothing that puts me in a favorable position if you dodge. If I had Judgement Grasp, that would be another story entirely, but I don't. Trying to clash with the Dodge would be the only real option, with a rushed either Paladin Shot or Strike, depending on what style you go with, which then gets subbed for Burst. Then you probably clash with that, then I clash with your Strike, then I finally Grasp and stun if you used Chained, or clash with Grasp and follow with Drive if you used Vengeful.

But that's too complicated. There are too many variables, and it's more likely that you expect me to try something and therefore you don't immediately Dodge. I'll guess you will use Vengeful, so if I were going with this I would Strike. And also ante an extra power to get past Shot when I Grasp.

Was that the first time you used that style the entire match? I didn't even consider that as an option.

Maybe I'd think differently if you were playing a ranged attacker, but in practice I don't like Vanaah's tools anywhere near as much as Lixis's, Tanis's or even Hikaru's. This last beat here I only used Paladin because I didn't like any other option, and that was even with me intentionally wasting Vengeance the beat before, since I assumed stunning you was my only chance. Also, I think this is the first time I had a style that was actively working against me all game in Judgement.

...though on twentieth read I realize I probably would have gotten my token back with Reaping even though the token wasn't in a discard pile yet. I was considering Reaping Strike anyway, but I ended up not doing that due to the possibility of Dodge.

I might come back to Vanaah later, because I do like the idea of the Divine Rush token, but for now I kind of want to go back to Lixis.
