Rules and Notes:

Each round will have 6 categories. You will know the categories before hand. Each category will have 5 questions of increasing difficulty. The easiest will be labeled as $200, while the hardest will be labeled at $1000. This level of difficulty is judged by me intra-category, so one category's 200 might be a gimme for most people, while another might be a bit tougher, for instance.

For each of the 6 categories, you will post in thread the questions whose point values you would like to attempt. When I have these, I will give you the questions that correspond to these. You will have approximately 48 hours to answer via PM. For each one you get right, you get the point value listed. For each one you get incorrect, nothing happens.

Your answers will be revealed in thread.

If you are unfamiliar with Jeopardy!, here you go: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeopardy!

Unlike regular Jeopardy, there are no Daily Doubles or final jeopardy questions. No points for incorrect answers are lost. And, despite these being answers, I don't really care if you phrase them in the form of a question. You will also not be given a chance to be more specific, if you get close to the answer. For instance, if the answer is What is Baby Blue? it will be up to my discretion/the question's phrasing whether What is Blue is correct, but if it isn't, you will be wrong. If you do not spell something correctly, I may still give it to you, but it will be up to my discretion. If you provide an alternative answer, I will judge whether that is correct, feel free to talk to me about it but any decision I make is final.

Use common sense here. Do not discuss the questions with anyone, do not get outside help (google, wikipedia, your mom, a supercomputer, praying to a trivia god, etc). This is just for fun, it's supposed to be casual, there's no prize. See how you do, if you just want to be on top of a leaderboard I'll make you one and put your name right on top.

I'm generally going to try to run these for a week but if like 4 days go by without a response I may shorten the deadlines.

Don't be a dick. It's a game, have fun.

I'm not perfect so I may change things but I'll try to let you know.

Unfortunately these questions may be United States centric, so I apologize for that.

Not for this round. I may reuse questions no one's seen. It's also about inferring how well you can do from the category.

I decided to give Framm 18 credit for 7 rules for dating my Teenage Daughter, though he certainly would not on regular Jeopardy.

Let me know if there are any errors in scoring.

Congrats again, Jelly!

Round 3:

ELEMENTS BY THE NUMBERSEUROPEAN HISTORYA DAY TO REMEMBERANAGRAMSIS THAT IN AFRICA?"POP" CULTURE
$200$200$200$200$200$200
$400$400$400$400$400$400
$600$600$600$600$600$600
$800$800$800$800$800$800
$1000$1000$1000$1000$1000$1000

For Elements by the Numbers, I will give you an atomic number, you will tell me the element it belongs to (not just the symbol).

For Anagrams, the answer to the clue will be an anagram of a word in the clue, that is related. I'm looking for clever here, not 'this clue mentions European History, but it has the word top in it. The answer is pot!'

For Is That In Africa? you will be given three places and will be asked to determine which one is a part of Africa.

For "Pop" Culture, every answer will include the letters 'pop' in that order.

I for sure agree the 600 should have been lower for, I think I would have preferred it at 400 though, I made a last minute decision to switch those which I think was wrong.

Regardless, I won't be able to get it right every time but I'll do my best :)
