Overall
1.Unless stated otherwise by the moderator or in these rules, the following control:http://mafiascum.net/wiki/index.php?tit ... Game_Rules
2. All votes should be inboldeither with the [.b] tag or with the [.vote] tag. Unvotes are unnecessary to change your vote.
3.Put all votes on a new lineIf you disregard this rule, I may or may not count the vote.
4. See Game Specific Rules for Lynching requirements
5. This is a Day 1 only game.
6. The deadline for the Day will be 96 hours (4 days). That's after a 48 hour night for scum to plan.
6.1. Failure to get a majority will result in a no lynch. A no lynch in this game is a scum win.
8. I reserve the right to change, add or delete any rule in the game. I reserve the right to modkill or force replace or take any other actions I see as necessary.
9. There are no night actions.
10. Colors in my vote counts are there only to make it easier to see names. They alternate between blue and purple.
Activity
1. Players will be prodded if they do not post for 24 hours. Once a prod goes out, it is in the moderator’s discretion when to replace a player.
2. V/LAs will be honored only if you use the V/LA system in Mafiascum, but please let the game know if you're about to go on one as well.
Moderator Error
The moderator is fallible. If you see a problem with a vote count, mention it in bold in the game. If you have another problem, please don't hesitate to PM the moderator..-

Game Specific Rules
Setup
1. There will be 5 Town and 4 Mafia
2. Each town member will get a true guilty result on one mafia player. This will be shown by the start of game vote count, which the scum will set. Scum must set each town's vote to be on a scum member. They may set themselves to vote for whoever they want.
3. If mafia is lynched, town wins. If town is lynched, mafia wins. If there is a no lynch or the deadline is reached, it is a mafia win.
4. Mafia has day talk and may talk during pregame.
Special Lynching Rules
1. In order to prevent a quick lynch, this will use special lynching rules.
2.Lynch Confirmation-- Once a player reaches L-0 (i.e. 50% of voting members + 1) or higher (e.g. L+1), at least a majority (50% + 1) of players mustConfirm Lynch. Once this occurs, the lynch goes through.
3. Votes may be placed as usual during this period. Votes in excess of L-0 may be placed on a player.
4. If a player goes to L-1 or below, it stops the Lynch Confirmation. If the same player is put back up for lynch, the Lynch Confirmation counter starts again.
5. It is not strictly necessary for the same players who are voting a player to confirm the lynch.
6. In the event the deadline runs out, the last unconfirmed lynch will take place (rather than the no lynch=auto mafia win).
Random Generation
Anything approaching confirmable random generation is prohibited.

Information Provided To Scum
In post 1, zoraster wrote:POSSIBLE SETUPS
Here's a very basic setup that shouldn't be broken:
Scum 1: B, C, D
Scum 2: A, E, 1
Scum 3:
Scum 4:
Town A: 2, 3, 4
Town B:
Town C:
Town D:
Town E:
Here are other setups that Callforjudgement has determined not to be broken. I take no responsibility for if town breaks or thinks it has broken them. So you should do your own analysis.
1234ABCDE
=========
AAAA11122 (4 on A, 3 on 1, 2 on 2)
AAA141114 (4 on 1, 3 on A, 3 on 4)
AA4344433 (4 on 4, 3 on 3, 2 on A)
AAA144411 (3 on A, 3 on 1, 3 on 4)
AAAB41114 (3 on A, 3 on 1, 2 on 4, 1 on B)
AA4341344 (3 on 3, 3 on 4, 2 on A, 1 on 1)
AAB433443 (3 on 3, 3 on 4, 2 on A, 1 on B)
AAAB41441 (3 on A, 3 on 4, 2 on 1, 1 on B)
AAA142411 (3 on 1, 3 on A, 2 on 4, 1 on 2)
AABC34334 (3 on 3, 2 on A, 2 on 4, 1 on B, 1 on C)
AAB334134 (3 on 3, 2 on A, 2 on 4, 1 on B, 1 on 1)
AAAB41124 (3 on A, 2 on 1, 2 on 4, 1 on B, 1 on 2)
AABC13434 (2 on A, 2 on 3, 2 on 4, 1 on B, 1 on C, 1 on 1)
Not all setups have the same theoretical expected win rate for you..-

It's actually around a 50% win rate for the most basic setup, and here's why:In post 47, Creature wrote:Again, the fifth guilty is hard to manage with and I saw no setup providing us a winrate bigger than 33%
So let's say you have 3 people with 3 votes on them: two are scum, one is town (with 3 scum on it)
Let's assume that scum aren't going to lynch their scummate. This means that in order to win, two townies from one of the wagons are going to have to choose between the other two wagons. Their choice is between the remaining scum being voted and the remaining town being voted by scum. That choice is 50/50, not 33/67.-

In post 51, BTD6_maker wrote:This is truly the biggest mistake you could have made. You sent scum a "very basic setup that shouldn't be broken" that was actually broken. If 1 is Town the scumteam is {2,B,C,D} but 3 is voting A, which is impossible. Therefore 1 is confscum.
If you ever run this setup again, let me know. I would like to help with giving scum the recommendations.
Hmmm for some reason this one got changed from the prior one:
Scum 1: A, B, C
Scum 2: D, E, 1
Scum 3:
Scum 4:
Town A: 2, 3, 4
Town B:
Town C:
Town D:
Town E:
I must have come across a different version in my notes when I posted it.
Anyway, i won't run this setup for a while until I've established a few aren't broken. I think it's better for me to provide a few options for scum to pick from rather than give them discretion anyway.-
