Well his animosity spawns largely from me playing to my wincon as scum, when my wincon as scum involved trying to make sure his (correct) read on me would be forced into submission. (It didn't work.)

I did apologize for it and said it was just to play to my wincon and nothing more. He seemed to take it personally though. Frankly, until this game, I thought he just held a policy of "Ranger's in this game, I'm going to lie about my read on her and lynch her". (This is literally the first game since that game where he

hasn't

voted me and insisted I was confscum.) I apparently owe him another apology, since this game proves that he was just playing to his wincon in all those other games, but oh well. His hostility towards me is an asset. By calling me bad town like this, he won't notice I'm actually just scum until later.

I am not lurking because I am scum.
I am lurking because I said I would, I am legit having trouble keeping up, I am disengaged, and have been V/LA.

In short, this is something I'm more comfortable with playing-wise. My roots as a player were in minimalism. In giving the least amount of content necessary, to get nightkilled, to catch scum, or in the rare case I drew scum, to avoid the lynch.

While the last is in play THIS game, the reason applies for any game.
Across the board, I am not satisfied with the amount of time I am being asked to play: it's too much.
I can cut down on games to help, but that takes time to have a notable effect.

So I will, in any game, regardless of my alignment, defend my decision to be inactive.
It's for MY health.

It's gotten me half-thinking he could legitimately be a third party of some kind (like a dual-serial-killer team, seems like something Skull might do) because I know I'm scum and yet I'm going, "WOW this is a good argument" and

. Like, it has merits. But I know it can't be true, because *I* am scum.

I have the same exact strength as town and as scum: I am

at making myself be town. As town, I also generally have good reads!

I have the exact same weakness:
I can't actually get the lynch I want!

(Though, in this case, a Dwlee lynch would actually be the most beneficial of all.)

If I'm town and get nightkilled, I can't push my reads.
If I'm town and get lynched, my reads get pushed usually but not necessarily. (I seem to be one of the

only

players where being lynched = being sheeped. Dunno why.)

I think I got the sweet spot where I'm conveying (legitimate!) frustration, not making a suspicious turnaround, not making an equally-suspicious continuation when ignoring new evidence, and not making a suspicious fencesit. I THINK I've got it at the point where I took the most reasonable stance possible. I think.

But I don't know, and right now, I'm actually terrified as a result, from that

I'm also like 99% sure I've lost this game since Dwlee wants to vote me, Suzune would vote me, and Dunnstral would vote me.

At this point, if I manage to worm my way into hammering Nosferatu, it'll basically be a GIVEN that I'll lose, so I think I'll revive an old stance of mine:

Let's be honest, I'm losing this game.
It really doesn't make a difference who I leave alive, it'd be a 1v1 against Dwlee either way.
And both Dunn and Suzune townread Dwlee so it's not like I have a chance at convincing them.

Though, I suppose: I'll take Suzune being a rational, logical player over Dunnstral being a stubborn, gut-based player. There is that, but this is mostly because Dunnstral earned the privilege of the nightkill more than Suzune did.

I just have to say though: regardless of win or loss, I'm pretty proud of Antihero and myself.

We're here, in 3p lylo. All the PRs, save one which I intentionally spared, are dead. We lost our strongest two power roles on D2, and were put at a distinct disadvantage from that point onward. And yet, we made it.

I made it.

I'd say that's a pretty good accomplishment, regardless of result.

A win would sweeten the deal though. :P
