Who has the most time challenges just exist at the end because it's assumed anyone that can make it there already has too much free time

We should make endurance challenges require skill
Like I'm not really a fan of the balls challenge either, because if your wifi is having a bad day(/year) you're fucked
Do something like having to post very precise things, maybe drawing ASCII art?

Build endurance challenges using flash or Unity, imo.

Balls was actually an endurance challenge though. I only failed when I did because my left pinky (which I had manning the control key to paste the ball code over and over again) was on the verge of giving out, I tried to figure out a way to get the stress off it, and missed the timer while doing so. I failed because my body (well, a very small part of my body) couldn't take it any more.

The issue with balls, though, was that spotty/inconsistent wifi could fuck you.
That was a legitimate complaint about the challenge. Otherwise it was timing/physical endurance.

i'm just saying, speed boggle is an endurance challenge that doesn't tend to last more than a couple hours and requires skill

This. In particular, I lagged out at ten balls.

For an actual answer, it was an endurance challenge in RSX where you had a boggle board and you had to post a word from the board every x minutes as long as you could. Essentially a standard endurance challenge with a much steeper difficulty ramp over time than what you usually see, causes it to end in a more manageable time.

That's a really cool challenge concept.
Creativity like that is definitely something that we need to bring to challenge design, more broadly speaking.

Tbh Boggle isn't even that terrible of a challenge without context of it being overused/etc.
