The point about you not knowing who started the wagon you yourself are pushing is indicative that you are not actually following the game and your indifference to the makeup and history of the wagon on your top suspect suggests you aren't really serious about that suspicion and are looking for an easy target to look town with.

tell me what you did that was exceptionally scummy on purpose, with your goal being to acquire votes, and i'll believe that you had a plan.

I didn't do anything exceptionally scummy.

I just did something exceptionally noticeable. Which was, making a lot of posts in a short period of time, throwing around my weight, rubbing people the wrong way, and in general, making statements which made as many people uncomfortable as possible in as short a time as possible, so people would have to react more than they wanted, and choose a side on an issue (my wagon, or someone else's, didn't matter) before they wanted to have to take sides on something.

To be honest it's working even better than I planned, with people straight out calling for my death, like Accountant.

I will say this: my wagon has definitely helped a lot of people generate a lot of reads. And for those of you that it hasn't helped, please try re-reading.

So yes, he has really good reason NOT to trust me, but it's just a little old because he pushes me as scum EVERY game, yet every game he's seen where I AM scum, I don't actually draw this kind of attention to myself and make things happen like they are in this game. So House didn't like that I threatened Creature with being lynched, and then he made a "show of power" or whatever by being like "what are you gonna do about it?"

And then when (since I don't particularly scum read house) I said I was going to lynch scum and eat corn flakes -- a veiled reference to this old (and bad) attempt at advertising in movies:



And then I started poking him and poking him and poking him, to see if he WAS scum, because why would he abandon the SlySly wagon to vote me, just because I wasn't keeping track of who all was voting who, on page what, 7 or something at the time? It all made no sense, and I needed more info. He still seems town to me though, but I was doing it for two reasons, to find out his alignment, and also to get him to OMGUS vote me and help out in pushing MY wagon. Because, if I couldn't push a bogus-ish SlySly wagon to use it to get votes (something I do all the time, just to see who will jump on, and when, and why?), then using my wagon for the same purposes is more than good enough, plus if it ends up going through, I don't accidentally lynch someone who's not to blame for playing risky, whereas if I die, I have nobody to blame but myself.

So unless anyone is gonna argue that these three posts in particular DON'T look like I'm intentionally using inflammatory language like 'thanks in advance champ' and 'that'd be great, except it's totally wrong' etc., then you should probably just concede my point that I'm doing it on purpose to rile him up.

i think there are probably two scum teams

two reasons:

1. my role PM says I win when all NON-TOWN are eliminated. meaning, scum + scum or scum + third party/ies, or scum + scum + 3p, etc.

2. the size of the game is 22 players. most 21p games have 5 scum (source: i play a lot of 21p games and have a shit ton of experience). that basically means

TOO MANY PEOPLE are pussy footing around. meaning, they aren't pushing hard enough, and everything seems just kind of "let's see what happens" or "HEY YEAH let's get behind THAT wagon which we can REALLY REALLY not take credit for pushing, if he flips town (i.e. my wagon), and that's highly indicative of players just looking for something easy to do, instead of actually trying to

so my speculation is that each scum team is probably at least 3 players, and 16-3-3 sounds right, especially compared to 16-5. perhaps it's something more like 15-3-3-1(3p) or even (??) 14-3-3-1-1. That last one would be a bit much, but I could see Skullduggery wanting to do a last game with a lot of crazy stuff in it (magnum opus style)

also, keep in mind Varsoon was listed in the OP of this game, meaning there's probably all kinds of weird fuckery going on (and let's not forget the basics, which are: hello. guys. it's a Skull game. it'll be crazy and fun and crazy fun)

so i think it's time for me to out this information because it's not as obvious as i thought, but i'm worried it could be anti-town but i'm taking the risk at this point because i can't see myself making it very far in this game

the reason i'm vote parking slysly is because i'm pretty sure i have an idea of some aspects of what his role is (flavor i'm pretty sure, and some general mechanics about it but i don't know his role PM completely) and i can't possibly see it as a town thing.

i'm kind of shocked that no one else has at least hinted that they're seeing what i'm seeing, it's one of those things that i would think is obvious to anyone with flavor knowledge. i thought house was on the right track because he backed up a question i asked that lead me to this conclusion, but i don't think house has flavor knowledge and he's townreading sly so probably not.

i don't want any claims because of this, but i would like someone with a lot of flavor knowledge to re-read the thread and just tell me if they see the same thing that I am. just a yes or no would be fine. if i'm just confbiasing or chasing a smoking gun here,

Hey, I'm really sorry to do this but I really don't think this game is for me. Including this one, I'm currently /in for five different games and with the difficulty I'm having in real life I don't think I'm going to be able to keep up with all of them. Since I put the least investment in this one and I wasn't invited here, I'm going to start by dropping out of here. I planned on /outting pre-game but I thought I'd pull it together stick for the flavor. Turns out that was a bad idea, I'm just having a lot of difficulty getting a foothold on this game.

Just to drop off some final thoughts, nothing extraordinarily helpful since i never took notes for this game but:

I have no reason to state most of my townreads, most of my townreads have already found each other and are already working together. I don't get the scumreads of Not Chara though, I think it's pretty obviously town? It should be talked about more tbh. Accountant too because I'm seeing some of that sentiment around him too.

I don't really have any special scumreads to push. A lot of slots haven't posted yet, but I think Gamma is probably going to flip scum. The way he interacted with the Slysly wagon completely sheeping my reasoning and then jumped onto zakk is worth scrutiny.

Pepto feels like lynchbait to me and while he could possibly be scum, he might be better off lynched off of associations. He just feels strange and offbeat to me in a newbish way and I think people are overselling how scummy he actually is.

I still think that Slysly and Ank have scum/town parallel roles with really obvious flavor. If at some point the flavor talks about them absorbing souls or LOVE or stuff like that, one of them is probably flipping scum. I don't know if that fits into Skull's mod meta but I'm having difficulty seeing it any other way. I think NC knows what I'm getting at here so if my slot flips at any point and NC is still alive, I really think this is a necessary point of discussion. Slysly's cageyness about hammering vs. Ank's openness about claiming makes it clear to me which one is the town one, personally.

The way SlySly formulated his zakk "townlean" in thread was pretty awkward too and I think it's an associative tell. worth looking into after some flips.

If Blade Dancer is who I think they are and flips scum, the people they choose to push are like 100% town. I think this is their town game though.

But yeah, I'm really disappointed in myself for replacing out for my first time but I don't see myself being useful in this gamestate's future with the lack of effort I'll likely be putting in later if I were to stay. This was a pretty difficult decision to make, but it's better I do this now before replacements will struggle to catch up.

So. My problem with zakk and others like him is that they do absolutely terribly under pressure, but we can't just trust them at their word but are wasting resources lynching or killing them. The ZZZX problem in Pathfinder Mafia. Monkeyman did it there too. Zakk, as someone said last page, is slinking by via 'shitposting', or is he just a townie doing everything in their power to survive? We will have to deal with them one way or another. I ended ZZX with knives in Pathfinder, saving us a lynch.

So in 932 he specifically says that 565 was not a “case” and he doesn’t scum read SirCakez, that the people who used 565 as reasoning to vote SirCakez are “probably full of shit” and SirCakez isn’t scummy.

I point this out and zakk tries to ignore it until I point out his ignoring it for everyone to see.

Now look at his response I quoted above … does that look like anything coming from a Town perspective to you?

Firstly he mis-identifies the issue completely – he’s trying to say I’m “misrepping” his intention. Yet what was the intention of 565 then? It certainly doesn’t reasonably appear to me that he’s saying “Sir Cakez suspicion should be taken with a grain of salt”. If so he could have just typed that and not gone to the trouble of linking multiple games. That post says “Sir Cakez always does this when he’s scum”. His subsequent backpedaling is zakk scum play – flip flop constantly on positions regarding players to establish a pattern of “that’s how I play” so he can’t be held accountable for suspicions. He did that in Adventure Mafia all the time … in fact in the Mafia PT I had to warn him off doing it with Titus later in the game as it was going to get him lynched.

And this isn’t the only example of him here – now suddenly Andrius “isn’t a good lynch” just for providing a wall post. Keep in mind he’s been calling Andrius scum for most of the limited day. Can scum wallpost? Certainly. And he makes absolutely zero comment about any of the content of Andy’s post … just that he shouldn’t be lynched today if he posts like that. Switching gears off an unpopular push but leaving plenty of wiggle room to later say “Oh, I still think he’s scum, blah blah blah”.

Gamma: it's an old tell where when a replacement criticizes the play of who they replaced, they're scum. it's actually not all that alignment indicative, but the point is that town wouldn't really care about the play of who they replaced but scum would.
in practice, it depends on the player and not so much on their alignment. especially when Amished is a tell that is fairly well-known.

Something came up last night. I'm almost halfway through the thread, and I'll be able to post in earnest tonight.

I like blade, not chara, and creature for town so far. I'm not a big fan of zakk, mcmenno,

or pepto.

all three of your town reads are kinda null reads for me.

i'm willing to be swayed to town for them, but haven't really seen good reasons why (not that they don't exist; please point them out to me)

They've shifted ever so slightly. I'm less sure about NC. Creature is a hard townread for me now. He has been consistently trying to generate discussion and move the lynch away from this turd. I don't have too much experience with Creature, but I don't see his lists looking like they do, or that 1shot bp gambit coming from scum!Creature. I agree with Titus' reads for the most part, especially on Mcmenno and Nahida. She remains a townread.

I became a big fan of yours with 609. I was mostly scumreading you for your interactions with House after following his vote and the vengeful soft seemed awfully premature (I didn't remember how many votes you had at the time, so I could be off there). However, I like to scumpost to provoke people and garner reactions as well. All of your posts up to 693 were agreeable too, but Magna is keeping me on edge in regards to you. I'm leaning town for now.

Why is Mcmenno town? He has sat on this Pepto vote all day, and a lot of his posting could go either way. I think he has an association with either you or Nahida (more likely the latter). Early on in the game House and co were calling for a Giga or Zakk lynch, but he votes Pepto, who had only had one post, without commenting on either Giga or Zakk. House had also just said that if Giga flipped scum he'd gun for Pepto by association. It's odd to skip the first part of that without commenting on it.

Giga looked really scummy, and I did not see his calling for a PL of an alt as a joke. The only post of theirs I really liked was the replace out, and that's because they threw some shade on the wagon on Pepto. Nahida was looking more null, but hopping off Mcmenno once they acquired some votes to chase Cakes seemed a little weak. I know this is the confbias speaking, but it makes Mcmenno x Nahida more likely.

VOTE: Mcmenno I'm game for a Nahida lynch at the moment, but I think this is the safer bet given he could have actually been trying to divert people from going for Zakk instead of Nahida.

I don't like the Magna wagon. I like how he's been trying to sort Zakk with both meta and for some of the antitown behavior regardless of meta (the spam and possible motives for posts). It rings town to me, even if I disagree with the read.

McMenno is town I'm like 98% sure.
