What's the difference between the color groups for town?

I haven't quite thought of it yet, but I'm certain I could do something with it.

Could put them at odds with each other, but that's what the Tribes are doing, too. Maybe make them susceptible to Scum recruitment of the same color... or instead give those Townies color-specific Cop abilities. Maybe even just hint like 'Your wincon is to kill Scum. Are X and Y also Scum...?' or something of the sort.

Yeah, ton of directions you can go.

I wouldn't pit them against each other though --> Too many different groups, I think it fragments the town too much.

I can't imagine trying to verify all 22 votes for validity before posting a flip. That's insane.

Doesn't look like trolling as much as being overwhelmed and newbie omgus to me.

That's the one thing I never do when I mod (and probably should): Check votes.

That said, players generally catch any errors that pop up and I practicaly never miss a vote. (More oftem.I forget to delete/update stuff in the VC rather than miss a vote)

lynching fast for the first few days is actually I think correct play in a setup of this size. there is no reason whatsoever to bother dragging the game on every single day with so many players.

Depends on the # of mafia.

Looking at EV calculator, if you have 10/3, with town at +10%, you get town win rate of 40%. And in a large game with a bunch of PR's, including ivestigative, killing, blocking, protecting, I'd think the votechance should be solidly north of 10%.

So if I use 24 v 6 at +15% (I think highly reasonable given the role madness structure whether the best roles are town roles), you get town win of 40%. Adding 8 town (to 32) and 4 wolves (to 10) probably scum-sides it compared to 24v6, but you also get multiple more days of voting and posting data and chances for the wolves to self out in the process. So yeah 32/10 is probably too scum-sided, even in the role madness structure, but I 'd submit not by all that much. Something like 33/9 with these roles/neighborhoods/etc is I think pretty reasonable for a town v scum setup. Then again I'm probably more or less on the far end of the philosophical balancing scale lol

PS on a shorter note... "reviewed by mhsmith0" is probably a good sign you have little risk of being in a severely town-sided structure

Doing vote counts by hand gets such a bad rap, and I don't understand why.

If you have the time it's fun. When it takes 30 minutes to count them all and then you miss one or someone doesn't use the right tags, it can get aggravating.

If short on time go with the auto.

For your game, you got a point.

But for a mini, it should take about 5 or so minutes to do.

1/35 * 1/35 * 1/41 ~ 1/30 * 1/40 * 1/40 ~ 1/48,000 so pretty low.
