I can't help but feel that Ari wanted to draw the vote there.
Ari already knows that Karnos is not Elite, and therefore would never use '1337'. However, I think that the '1337' part was a diversion from '5318008'.
At first, it looked like a wild guess, but when looking into this more, it's a message.
