Ari already knows that Karnos is not Elite, and therefore would never use '1337'. However, I think that the '1337' part was a diversion from '5318008'.
At first, it looked like a wild guess, but when looking into this more, it's a message.
5318008
On a calculator, this is 1 digit off the most funny number (and possibly joke of all time) when turned upside down.
'55318008'
This is what I think Ari was aiming for. Ari here, is telling us that he's a jester. Why, you ask?!
Because think about it, Karnos was always going to pick 4174209431100188693235793859405717316772027648730847504177097588719690885478249. (This makes Karnos 100% town, but this is for a discussion on a different day).
Ari wanted to point out to us that he's not only funny (like a jester) but made a foolish mistake (like a jester) by missing off '5' at the beginning, which falls to the end when turned upside down.
Ari knew that this would draw a vote and given the speed of the game, and player list, a lynch was basically guaranteed.
Well played, Ari, but not today!
So I plead here, that we kill Ari at night, and refuse the win!
