Sarah Jane is also around there somewhere.

At the moment I'm just waiting to find out how far Unown's coin flip has netted him.
Well, about that...

293. Unown (Cheery Dog) - Survivor Eon

Image
"Heads wins!"

Unown starts out on the Renbow tribe. Nobody really feels close to him and on most tribes, this would make him an easy boot. But he lucks out. Bellsprout gets threatened by Fennekin and targets him, Fennekin finds out and targets Bellsprout and this takes the target off of Unown. Unown gets swapped into Laiun. Apparently he wrote long PMs but once again, he didn't make anyone care about him. There was some drama on that tribe with Frogadier getting too close to Machoke and Froslass stray voting for Frogadier, but all this effected was what would happen in the second Laiun tribal council, which never happened. Everyone agreed on voting out Unown first and when they went to tribal council, that's exactly what happened.

Right before that, however, was The Coin Flip. During the challenge, the other two tribes are both pleading with Laiun to help them out. Unown is the only one online at the time, so he decides to settle it in the fairest way possible: by flipping a coin. It didn't
really
end up effecting the game (Wartortle's immunity was only good for one round so he would have been voted out anyway) but it was still a great moment and it was fun to watch everyone melt down.

However, Unown was still the most forgettable member of both of his tribes. Renbow was a great tribe: Fennekin was a very fun winner, Pikachu journeyed from a newbie who was a possible early boot to a legitimate threat, Wartortle was in the center of everything and put up a fight during the swap, Stunky was playing a strong game and could have gone far until he gave up his vote, and Bellsprout made the tribe a lot of fun to watch by targeting Fennekin...And then there was Unown. On Laiun, there was a lot of drama going down in the tribal council where Unown was voted out, but none of it involved Unown.

Cheery Dog has had several great performances (see the last game) and his characters are usually very rootable. While Unown was an underdog, he wasn't an underdog in the fun way. He never really got his footing in the game, had a fun moment, and then got voted out.

Having to write 900 words for school: "yay fun this is easy"

Having to write 900 words for a Survivor PM: "holy shit this is hard"

Thanks Unown (and congrats in Abridged).

No, no. You don't understand about that coin flip either... I was the only member of my tribe online......... for the next like 4 or 5 hours IF THAT. So he's not flipping this coin between helping me who has nobody to help them at all, and the other tribe who has at least 2 on right then, and there was a third person who had hopped on at one point, oh no it's not that, the coin toss is ACTUALLY which of the two ways he can help this tribe and fuck mine is he going to go with.

In a challenge, that is correct. Nich totally designed that and I totally ran it. But my tribe basically didn't have a shot as it was, if he was going to just say no to helping me not go to TC, that's fine. Coinflip wasn't really necessary, kind of a dick move tbh. But I see the entertainment in it.

292. Ace the Bat-Hound (Malakittens) - Arkham Asylum

Image
"During the Deadshot vote, everyone told Deadshot how much of a coward he was for trying to vote out a weak player like Ace. This round, everybody is saying that Ace is a huge threat and needs to go. Did I miss something?"
-- Poison Ivy

First of all, Ace's confessional is pretty awful, so it's hard to tell what he was actually doing from that, other than having to get voted out twice. According to someone with an actual confessional, it appears she was a bit more than just a pawn or the last to be pagonged, as she had allies in Ivy, Black Bat and Red Hood who would have been willing to save her at her TC. Instead, she picked the wrong target and gave up when it didn't work rather than trying the alternative like, if Ivy is to be believed, those allies were waiting for her to do.

Yyyyep.
