It says the powers will be active, not both powers on a card. The powers are split by rank and suit powers, as shown in the 3rd post, I think.

Not sure if someone has already addressed this - but it doesn't stack up.

1) Today, the trump card is still the queen of clubs
2) Tonight, it's the jack of spades
3) Tomorrow day, it's something else

So, the governors

won't be activated

by this Jack. Nor, for that matter, will the Hated and Beloved powers in the spades column. The Jack of Spades is a very antitown trump card in the day only.

Speaking of which -

if you hold the remaining Jack of Spades, you must veto spades tonight (or rig the deck for a non-spade)

. Spades are massively antitown during the day. Really, really bad. They have all the crappy antitown vote messing powers, and none of the vengeful/double lynch/innocent child goodness of the other suits. If Spades are trumps tomorrow, the jack of spades holder is an autolynch.

, I wasn't role fishing and if it came out as such I apologize. I have no interest in the setup as much as you do because it's just complicating things more. When I signed up for this game and picked my cards I just wanted to be play a power role I never played before and play mafia like I normally do. That's it.

I thought you were hinting at the Inventory card in general because when I reread the OP earlier I saw it could be a good way to deal with fake claims. But seeing as majority of us are confused about the setup as me, I don't think anyone thought that far ahead.
