While you're thinking about it, why don't you think about what I'd stand to accomplish as scum by taking a cop claim on day one.

There is zero incentive for scum to fakeclaim cop on day one.

Town fakeclaiming cop on day one has the obvious benefit of attracting the NK if the real cop has half a brain and waits for one night phase to pass before countering so he can have a result to share along with the counter.
