Entered the same song I was going to enter last time. So fine. I won't win last contest. I'll just win this one. ;)

I'll try not to wait until the last minute to judge, so I'll at least do this in parts. I'm going to remove the songs I know I won't like, kind of like how I judged last round:

This list are songs I'll want to keep after this first round of judging by me:
Albania - Lycia - Drifting
Central African Republic - Dire Straits - Private Investigations
Belize - Oceana - Barracuda Capital of the World
Uruguay - Crywolf - Akureyri
Hungary - Chase & Status - All Goes Wrong ft. Tom Grennan
Spain - Public Service Broadcasting - Gagarin
Iceland - Ihsahn - Celestial Violence
Kazakhstan - Fantastic Negrito - Lost in a Crowd
Canada - Postmodern Jukebox - Colors of the Wind
Latvia - I:Scintilla - Taken
Cote d'Ivoire - Nana Mizuki - Glorious Break
Azerbaijan - Tre Mission ft. Thes - Stigmata
USA - Dean Fujioka - History Maker
Burkina Faso - A Camp - Algebra
Greece - Death Cab for Cutie - I Will Possess Your Heart

I have fifteen songs in this list. The next time I get the chance, I'll cut this down to ten.

So I just found out which country you are and to be honest, this was one of my favorites. You're almost assuredly in my top ten, and quite possibly in my top five.

Ugh
Spoiler: Don't read if you wanna maintain anonymity
I am always The Principality of Sealand
THERE I RUINED IT YOU ALL KNOW

We used to be obsessed with Sealand in school, we read about it once and thought it was hilarious. I originally entered as Sealand as a joke. Someone else did enter at least one contest I wasn't in as Sealand, though, but they entered as "Sealand", I always give full title

Also I knew I shoulda gone for one of their english songs but eh I've been feeling this one lately, it's cool
And I could have figured it out if I could have summoned the disciprine.

Top Ten:

10. Uruguay - Crywolf - Akureyri - The music here is great. The vocals are nice to listen to. I'm listening to the top ten I have from how they're listed on the main page, so I like hear listening to this departure from the relaxing music. It's also not in your face, which provides a nice transition. Honestly, I know I'm in the minority but I don't like the beat that's typically designed for the club scenes. My other complaint is that it doesn't.., stand out too well for me. I see it as a nice song. But not an amazing song.

9. Hungary - Chase & Status - All Goes Wrong ft. Tom Grennan - I'd like to start off is I've heard him speak in an interview. I don't like the way he sings. His singing voice is actually good enough, but the way he chooses to sing here is kind of annoying. With that said, the song is nice. The beat is hip. The lyrics are okay enough. The music video adds in and tells a story. This song would do well in this contest, if the singer didn't annoy me so much.

8. Burkina Faso - A Camp - Algebra - My first reaction was that I had a guilty pleasure from this sappy, longing type of guitar playing. Then I heard the lyrics and noticed how it was about algebra. It made me feel kind of awkward. This must not be really about algebra. Maybe it's a metaphor. They used math pun and word-play and I'm sure it's about a boy. And I get this is about a high school kind of love, which makes the algebra kind of introduction kind of understandable, but it doesn't justify the weirdness that out of any kind of high school analogy, algebra is the choice. I guess the nostalgia of this song, that reminds me of some other song, although I really can't figure what, saved this song in the top ten. It's really nice to listen to because of the instrumentals, feel and the singer's voice, but not the words being used.

7. Central African Republic - Dire Straits - Private Investigations - This song is a lot like Albania (See that song's comments for why I like them), but it majorly doesn't stack up for a couple reasons. 1. I feel that the vocals take a lot from that. The calming music is nice. As far as the actual instrumentals, I even prefer this to Albania. I'm of a middle eastern descend and hearing the instrumentals remind me of Greek music, which hits close to home. But the vocals take a lot from the relaxing atmosphere that it was giving me. More than that, the speed of the words as well as the quietness (and unclear) of the words force the listener to focus, when focusing should be the last thing on their minds. Still, the instrumentals are something I'd have to applaud.

6. USA - Dean Fujioka - History Maker - This song has a poor beginning before it reminds me of a Disney musical. That is definitely not a compliment, not from me. This musical-feel makes it amazing that you're on this top-ten list. The uplifting demeanor combined with the catchy chorus brings you on here. The instrumentals also do this song justice.

5. Spain - Public Service Broadcasting - Gagarin - I like to start off by saying the beat and instrumental is very catchy. I like how there are astronauts and there are background noises talking about achievements and whatnot by the astronauts. The issue with this is the video... Like, sure, the dancing is nice. Slightly out of sync, but nice. The major issue I have is there really doesn't seem to have any reason for the astronauts to actually dance and there's nothing in the song that seems to justify it. The slow motion to imitate low gravity is cute in concept but not so cute in execution. Again, my issue is mostly with the dancing and I'm probably making it sound like it's more than it actually is. The instrumentals itself is nice. I wish there was some sort of extra factor, but it's not bad.

4. Azerbaijan - Tre Mission ft. Thes - Stigmata - I'll start off with the tempo. It's noticeable. It's amazing. It hypes. The vocals are solid. The message is so much better than most rap offers. The female chorus part is lacking, in my honest opinion. It doesn't do much for me. She doesn't appear to have that fire that the rapper as. It's almost insulting to hear her carefree-like voice to his serious and retributive message. Other minor stuff irk me, but this is good stuff.

3. Albania - Lycia - Drifting - I guess the major appeal to this song is its relaxation. It also has this odd way of combining sexy in there too. It could be used for both meditation and a porno, all at the same time. That doesn't directly make me like the song, but it adds to versatility, which definitely doesn't hurt. This song has all that I love about Pink Floyd, but none of what I hate. I could imagine listening to this song on LSD while laying flat on my back in the pool, just watching the clouds go by. The only really negative to the song is it's only useful when I want to relax. However, when I listen to music, I want excitement.

2. Iceland - Ihsahn - Celestial Violence - This is one of those songs that is more than just the best on the list; it's the kind of song I might listen to in my free time. The instrumentals are awesome. I like how it starts slow and gradually increases in tempo. The vocals are a bit emo for me, possibly as well as the lyrics, but this is something I'd gladly take with the package. I also don't feel like it's the best usage of screaming, but I'm extremely finicky when it comes to stuff like that.

1. Kazakhstan - Fantastic Negrito - Lost in a Crowd - I love this jazzy, funky music. This guy singing it has soul, has that slight scratch to his voice. His singing has color, like I can almost see him from the eyes of an LSD-user. I love the instrumentals, the vocals and the vibe. The thing I'm missing is the message. I don't really know what his story is. All I know is that he's passionate in it.

I've waffled between the placements of 1 and 2, but I'm happy.

I almost made you #1. I was very close to doing it.

And I don't think it's emo either. It's the timbre of his singing makes him sing the way emo singers would. At the very least, it slightly reminded me of it. I noted it, but it didn't really hold much of a factor in my judging.

To be honest, I'm having a difficult time trying to find the kind of music that people here like to listen to.

I started with a Within Temptation song and someone said that it reminds them of Nightwish (which they know, and I love) but worse. So I thought that I should try a more epic and less specific genre, so I tried Zack Hemsey and that did even worse. Now I tried a completely different route - a silly band, but with an alternate blend of guitar and brass instruments, and people aren't liking that.

So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm looking for music for next contest and I'm probably going with a metal band. But I feel like I'm not hitting the bar.
