The Master was sitting on the edge of a withered cliff on Mt. Zao. Mars shone brightly alongside the moon and stars. When a breeze blew a floating leaf into his lap, he opened his eyes with a smile, turning around to meet figures cloaked in shadow.

“The day that you find this orb you will no longer be seekers. I wonder if you will be able to face that fear.

I wonder if you will have the courage to stare into where the True orb resides….”

He removed a ball of stardust from the folds of his cloak. The swirls of colors were as nebulae in the miniature galactic sphere. Stars shot across the small cosmos, leaving beautiful comet trails. The size was bigger that his head and should not have been able to be concealed in such a way. As if he had pulled it out of the veil itself.

“You always babbled nonsense, master. Perhaps the power of the orb was too much for you, its driven you to madness. We have researched all the esoteric texts, we know how to contain and make use of it.”

A laugh erupted from the depths of the master's core. The mountains shook and the trees joined him in his bellows.

“I wonder how it will make use of you.”

A shadow darted forward, blade brandishing in an arc like the crescent moon above. There was a rustling of robes and wind, but no other sound as the master smiled down at his pupil.

“You…. Really are immortal? Why have you not shown us these secrets!?”

“It is not I that is immortal… It is that which is Real never dies.”

With that the master fell backward in an arc off the cliff. The orb floated up out of his hands and grew incredibly bright, the shadows scurried behind rocks, afraid their presence would be revealed. The orb split off into the four directions.





The crows cawed at dawn. The master was nowhere to be found. Scattered throughout the globe, practitioners of the Turtle Path awoke to omens and signs of all sorts of disturbance. Rituals were prepared, spells were cast, and others retreated to their sacred places for great Ceremony.

You all meet on the Astral Plane. In this vast array of worlds, you choose a neutral place. There is a Tavern, that opens out to the elements. The breeze flutters through. Mead is served by wisps and spirits that are bound to the safe haven.

I get the sense that either Dunn/Nahdia are scum partners or that just one of them is scum. Something is not sitting right re: their interactions with one another. Both players appear very awkward when speaking about the other. Either because they are partners or because one of them is scum and is unsure how to best position themselves given the spotlight that has been trained on them. I'd encourage others to read over these last few posts and see if you get the same notions or if I'm just suffering from confirmation bias when I connect Dunn to Nahdia.

At the start of the game, I received a fragment of the true orb; the southern fragment of fire. This wasn't something related to my role, and I only got it once the game had officially begun

For reference, here is some flavor talk about the orb:

Now, being the southern fragment of fire, it's natural to assume that there are other fragments, which is almost certainly 4 total fragments.

I do not know anything about what these do, I just know how they're moved around. I assume something happens if all 4 are gathered.
If somebody is killed while holding a fragment, it goes to the killer, if they are lynched it goes to the person who placed the hammer vote. Additionally, they can send the fragment to somebody else during the night.
I should have maybe mentioned this yesterday, but you should probably treat l-2 as if it's l-1, and know who's going to be placing the hammer. It won't be easy taking fragments from scum.

Now, here is the weirdness about drealmerz: he pretty obviously softed to having a fragment around day start

I used to have a piece of the orb, the north piece, which I gave away last nigh. Orb pieces can be transferred by being given as a night action, or to one's killer if the holder is killed, or to the hammerer if one is lynched.

The orb peeve came with no instructions, but I imagine we're not supposed to let scum collect them.

I have a PT with Mollie where I've already said this, and she's working very hard to save zito and deflect toward Nacho.

She has Dunn as super-duper town, and, like dunn, has jumped down my throat if I mention any possibility of dunn not being town. The only reason for that is that she perceives that he is trying to sort things out. She wondered how I knew she had a PT with Dunn (I don't know why she thought that, I never said anything implying it), and after ignoring my first request, told me he neighborized her last night for a single night, which makes his power very similar to mine.

I had neighborized her because she claimed to get something from it, but there's been absolutely no mention of any benefit. I gave my orb piece to mollie, which was a mistake.

I waited and waited until there was nothing left for most of you to talk about because I felt otherwise I simply would not be believed and would get drawn into it all which is exactly what I did not want to happen (it started to happen at the beginning of the game and there was no preventing it...will get to that...) This way I'm able to not be a factor as much as it seemed I was becoming (and still am, sure, but, I think it'll make sense as we go through...)

Now, I since I don't know whether dunnstral is town or scum (I'm pretty sure scum), I'm going to go down both paths and see where they lead.

If he's town he's done a horrible thing, imo, thinking he knows best and trying to control the situation because of that- like he has some knowledge / a piece of the orb and wants to be in charge, and if that is the case I think it has gone HORRIBLY and scum has so much information because of him, he's almost a PL due to being so anti-town. Dunnstral has pulled me into something from the beginning of this game and it has been beyond my willpower/ability to stop it. I tried a couple times and quickly noticed that everything was starting to go how he wanted and so I completely disengaged because 1.) he is wrong about me and I can't seem to convince him or others otherwise and engaging it was likely to not go well or 2.) he's scum trying to draw me into his shit and make it seem like #1 and if that is the case I thought (still think) my best course of action was to disengage so he couldn't use me as a piece in whatever game he is playing.

On D1 he defends me and I find it SUPER SUPER odd, but I don't know what it is about at the time. Now with the outing of everything my read is he just wants to NK me and get the orb piece?
