Has there ever been a point where staeg clearly was trying to manipulate the votes to use his "must be pro-town" ability? Why didn't he say in post #1, "hey guys, we need to have a few votes on the non-lynchee every night for my power to work, so let's keep that in mind before lynching?"

There is nothing inherently townie about passing orbs, especially when a) Kagami passed her starting orb n1 when infinity was still alive, b) she passed the other two after being given them by Dunn, so she couldn't just start assembling the orb then, and c) town and scum have both been confirmed to hold an orb so it is literally NAI.

Last but not least, my recollection of Kagami is that she is an Uber Puzzle Solver and I am seeing not one iota of that in this game. There is soooooooooooooo much information to piece together and she's just flying by the wind pushing people because their fucking flavor contradicts hers.

I think you need to review the claim, especially if you think scum are trying to eliminate it. I think you should also reconsider what a town-aligned player would be thinking upon receiving it while having no other setup information.

I think scum are trying to "eliminate it" insofar as they think they can get Staeg mislynched based on shaky information.

And I have thought about what a town player do. I don't think it's even remotely closely to what you've suggested he should have done.

Staeg - I don't like his claim. Not the claim itself, the claim is weird and funky and I can imagine Fate creating something like this. What I don't like is the claimed absolute lack of trying to do anything with it. That bit rings very false. Playwise Staeg has had very little impact.
Desperado - I had a pretty firm townread on SpyreX which Desperado has inherited. My problem with Desp's play is that it's been more geared towards acquiring orbs than actually doing things (unless ofc these things are done behind closed doors).

The doctor-clear is tainted by a roleblock.

pirate mollie - I see you open and engaged and trying to gamesolve. I have no issues with your slot.
camntsuki (camn + Katsuki) - Like I said I don't really understand why so many people townread this. Despite protests to the contrary they really haven't done much that I've been privy to and I didn't like Day 1 at all.
drealmerz7 - Nothing about dreamer's play makes a lick of sense and he needs to die before we get anywhere near endgame.
Nahdia - The only point in Nahdia's favor currently is her un-CC'd doctor claim, but it's a big one.

I'd usually value this less but we have missing NKs.

Kagami - I've already talked about Kagami extensively
Dunnstral - Actually I need to review this slot because I don't remember what he's done. Effort required tho.
