I think social media is most likely town. Giving that power to scum seems a bit over powered, especially late in the game where they could quick hammer and win.
A SK would be possible, but still seems overpowered for a non-town role. Also I would consider a SK less likely in a 9 player set up, it seems like a bit much. Someone who has played micros a bit more could probably provide a better answer.
In answer to ETL mini-case against me, I think it is obviously misguided, and not based on anything of substance. I'll hold judgement until later as to if that is scum being opportunistic or misguided town until a bit later.

That was my very first game on this site. And you will note that I realized during that game that it wasn't the best strategy. (even though the person I was UMGUS'ing did turn out to be scum.)
