{ROUND 09}

"Now that the teams are all in place, here's what you'll be doing to compete for my gym badge!" Darcy muses.

"First, both team captains have been asked to match all players on their teams, including themselves, to one of the following Pokemon natures: Brave, Naughty, Relaxed, Modest, Sassy, and Quirky.

Without communicating with your team captain

, teams must put together a list ranking players of the team for each of those natures. The closer the player the captain matched to that nature is to the top of your list, the more points the team gets.

For example, if the team captain matched "Klick" with "Naughty", and the team ranked Klick as 1st on the "Naughty" list, the team would get 5 points. If Klick was ranked 2nd for that list, the team would get 4 points, and so on. The team with the most points wins, and gets preference of Pokemon over all players on the losing team, with order determined by the tiebreaker question. The winning captain also must select two players from the losing team for elimination. If there is a tie in total points, it will be decided by total team answers for the tiebreaker question.

Teams, you have

48 hours

to submit your lists. Once a list has been submitted, it is final."

I must add that both team captains were told to answer completely honestly, and did not know that their teams would be trying to guess their lists.

Due to Xalxe being V/LA in Italy, Lord Mhork wins the Round 8 elimination battle.

D3f3nd3r has selected BlackPawn and Orcinus for elimination. They have 96 hours to conduct any elimination battle at Level 29.

As the trainers have collected a whopping 4 gym badges now, they are finally halfway through their journey of collecting them all. Not catching them all. That would be silly and overly time-consuming. But it's time for some fun in the sun and there's no better place to relax than the beach! Glutirée Beach, for that matter!

But no visit to the beach is complete without water-type Pokemon! And a challenge to compete for them with!

Spoiler: Alphabetical List

For today's challenge, everyone will be having a water balloon fight! But not just any water balloon fight, for everyone will have a bucket attached to a rope, holding them up above the ocean. Each player will be given

one hundred water balloons

, and can distribute them between all the players' buckets in any way they like. However, the player with the

most balloons in their bucket

will have their rope break, and the players with the

least balloons in their bucket

won't have enough weight holding them up. These two players will fall into the water, and

will enter elimination

.

However, the players with the

second and third highest amount of balloons

will stay above the water the longest, and will be team captains for the next round. Order of distribution of Pokemon will go as follows:

1st: 2nd highest number of balloons
2nd: 3rd highest number of balloons
3rd: 4th highest number of balloons
4th-9th: (n+1)th highest number of balloons
10th: highest number of balloons
11th: lowest number of balloons

I'm building my team right now, so I can't right now. I think tomorrow at 9 PM EST is okay (just at the beginning of your availability window).
also @mod: is Sand Rush + Sand Stream banned or not? Because obvious plan is obvious.

you haven't played competitive for a while, have you

pokebank ou no longer exists, it's just standard ou. we're going by standard ou rules--if it flies there, it flies here

if you can do it today we can move the next round along

FYI, Pokebank OU is the new standard OU - this was worded badly.
