My neighbor scum-read me because I was suspicious of them to begin with - if you read Ador's summary of our PT-chat you can see she tries to be accommodating to begin with but I suspected her - I could've gone for pocketing her if I were actually scum.
Didn't sound like you seriously suspected her though

Is it really that weird for Town!Ari to be ok with either Pooky or you? Because from his POV we have two shots to hit scum. And he has a PoE of two...

Simple distancing. Not a push that would ever go anywhere but a light distance

Yes I do get that. You have to be able to convince everyone you're town and make sure you don't get lynched. But it's not the end of the world to get the wrong when then know who scum is the next day. Just means you have a lot of work to do on getting townread

im trying to determine if ari's nonchalance is because he is disinterested town or because he is scum trying to lurk/lie low. when the conf innocents say things like they are sure that they will vote 1 way and not change it makes this much harder- it really is a disservice because it allows Ari to ignore/skate and makes it much harder to sort his slot for me.

Do you feel like Ari would be so transparent about not caring as scum though? I feel like as scum it'd make more sense to have a preferred push but quietly set yourself up to be flexible. This seems too in your face?

I'd feel pretty shitty about losing to Ari if he was scum and played this way

It's plausible that he would be dis-interested in putting in effort into the game if his partner decided to play the way TN did.
Generally though I would expect a lot better play from Ari.
For example on D1 when I asked him to find something wrong with an Ador post, he was able to come to a decent conclusion fairly quickly so I have no doubt about his competence at this game - however he seems to be less interested since TN death-spiral suicided and I'm not sure if that's a general dis-interest with the game or because he was put off by his scum-partner going suicide on D1.

In actuality I am quite interested in this game and have been the whole way through. If I hadn't been so vocal with regards to Koba D1 I would have had a far less active day.
I'm not an extremely active player in most games, but I like to think I have thoughts and opinions worth presenting regardless.
