I'm looking for someone who wouldn't mind taking a look at a mini theme I am planning on possibly running once my mini normal is complete. The wording of "theme" is loose, as there really isn't one, just this game is too f-ed up to be a normal.

I have come up with a whole-new (I think) concept for a mafia game, with some important differences in gameplay and all that. Of course, it is still a 'rude' idea. I'd like to discuss it with an experienced player/moderator to see if it is feasible or not.

I'm still looking (with no urgency) for people to review two large theme games (around 20 players).

I am intrigued by this whole concept idea.

I need someone to look at a Mini idea. It would have a very light theme, but there is one semi-big rules change.
So, in addition to game balance, I would want to know if the setup is major enough to warrant being a Mini Theme game.

I am actually hoping that it would qualify as a Theme game. Since, after I finish modding my Mini Normal, the Mini Theme queue is a heck of a lot shorter than the Normal queue.

EDIT: I don't need to know if it qualifies as a Theme game any more. MeMe has confirmed that it does. But I wouldn't mind another person taking a look at the setup for balance.

Open review for an Open Setup:
Martyr Mafia

3 Infidels (Mafia) -- One collective nightkill per night, no other special abilities
--Win condition:
Eliminate all protown players.

3 Suicide Bombers (Protown) -- One daykill which does
NOT
end the day. SuiBombers die when they kill.
--Win condition:
Get Nightkilled
OR
SuiBomb an Infidel
OR
Survive and eliminate all Infidels

6 Militants (Protown) -- No special abilities
Win condition:
Get nightkilled
OR
Survive and eliminate all Infidels

The game is based from an idea I spawned in this thread, the idea being that, instead of "Survive to Win," players should play to get nightkilled. I am going to keep it very simple this time around, so Infidel/SuiBomb/Militant will be the only roles. I'm looking for feedback on both the mechanic and the numbers.

Thanks.

@Glork

I hope the players would follow the spirit of the game and actually play it out, but that setup
can
be broken so everybody wins. If the town never lynches, then the Infidels can just kill off the SuiBombers/Militants at night and it's all good.

I would probably replace some of the militants (2-3) with regular townies. Not everybody is a Jihadist you know. The townies can either be standard town or plain STW, just remove the "NK = win" component. (I think STW would add some spice, but it's your call).

Or, you could force a lynch every day.

I like it without the NK thing. Which is a bit rubbish since that's the whole point... :?

Yes, I would force a lynch every day. I forgot to mention that.

Also, protown players who get endgamed lose. So not everyone would be able to win anyway.

I think the town could use a little bit more.

Why don't you make it 2 SuiBombers and 2 Martyrs (the role, that is). And the Martyrs would also be able to win if they save someone else from a kill.

Actually, after some substantial discussion with PJ, here will be the new setup:

2 Infidels

2 Suicide Bombers (take action at night -- Bombers' kills will be distinguished from nightkills from the Infidels)

8 Militants

The game is very close to Mountainous, except that the SuiBombers can speed it up a bit by effectively annihilating one day/night cycle. Also, with bombers killing in the day, they would automatically have a better shot at winning than Militants (because they'd never be lynched -- if they hit Lynch -1, they'd just blow up their top suspect and at least have a chance of winning).

Still trying to find someone to check this over, I've actually added a Theme to it overall, calling it "Alchoholics Anonymous Mafia"...theres a bit more mechanical change, but it really doesn't affect the game that much (Days and Nights are switched, so everyone talks and lynches during nights, the Scum group kills during Day...

Looking for someone to review my Closed mini theme: Utopia Mafia (No knowledge of theme neccesary, its more mechanics than roles and stuff and I've clearly explained the mechanics)

This is the second review, so most of the REALLY BAD bugs are gone.

Nocmen, I'd be happy to take a squizzle at that review, but I warn, I'll probably get really interesting in it and hound you with questions :P

I'm happy to accept Mini Normals, if people want to send me them.

I don't really have enough experience to balance anything else, however.

Looking for someone to review my mini theme, no knowledge of theme necessary. Nothing too wacky, just looking for advice on balancing.

Was hoping to get somebody to look at my (probably) theme mini setup. It'd be run as an open setup, but it's got enough strange role interactions to probably warrant theme-ness. It's my first setup, so be gentle. :)
