Thanks for replacing in penguin, you were the mason that was needed, Scott/Nvious hadn't done anything with that slot. With TIP's crazy and unpredictable posts it was offset so well with your own. Thanks TIP, you scared the shit out of me and when you went wild with your mason partner declaration Day 2 I really didn't know what to do. Somehow we pulled it off though.

I liked my town read of Boro so much I went and changed my mind on it about 20 times, should've stuck with the first impression. I disliked my town read on Wisdom so much I went and changed my mind on it about 20 times as well. These things were internal battles for the most part, and a bit of messy notetaking.

I thought 2birds played a great game, I liked the style a lot. It finally undid you, but you got close, great effort.

Most of all thanks to Safety for modding. This was your first modded game yeah? Top notch. Not an investigatory fakeclaim to be seen, but seriously you were attentive, on the money, good VC's, great response to action. Unfortunately you've probably run out of lyrics from "Safety Dance" to use as flavour, so you'll have to look elsewhere, but if you're ever modding another game I'd be more than happy to join it. You did great.

I would merely like to say, that BoroPhil was useless and should've been force-replaced at various points in the game.

I wasn't tunneling you, it's amazing that you think I was, for the most part I was trying to ignore you as much as possible. It was a huge waste of time talking to you.

Getting baited into responses because you take a small section of a chunk of text - something that I've spent time and effort putting down - boil it down to a half-baked point, and misrep me with that. That sucks. That's frustrating. One of your only decent posts was your #1449, that was useful. The rest, for the most part, was you wanting to do battle and tunnel everyone with quick one-line assertions and that doesn't help town. It shows no thought process, no discussion, no elaboration and so on.

I had a better time with 2birds and Boro just for starters. I couldn't care less that Boro started casting suspicion on me, at least we'd be able to have a fruitful back and forth about it. Rather than a constantly having to deny some limited accusation and it just being swatted back again. "No I'm not" "Yes you are" "No I'm not" "Yes you are"... blah

And so what if 2birds was scum, that eventually came out through his posts clearly enough, but it was also a breath of fresh air having someone around to debate points and players with.

I mean I'm not beef-headed enough to not realise that I made mistakes this game and have hopefully found some ways to improve, but the way you've dismissed yourself as that guy that people end up tunneling if they haven't played with you before isn't a good thing or a badge of honour. I'd seriously consider addressing some deficiencies in your town play. But whatever, I've been enough of a jerk and for what it's worth I apologise for when I overstepped the gameplay critique and ventured more personal. That wasn't cool.

It was mostly just that as I was reading you it kept looking like you occasionally stopped paying attention, which was roughly the opposite of every other time I've played you.

Coming back to ten pages to read and a 'GAME OVER' in the title really is quite demoralizing.

I gotta say, replacing in two scum down in a slot with suspicion on it was far more fun that it should have been, and not something I want to try again.

I feel I may have bussed Maestro/Mutley a little hard, but whatever, gg and all that jazz.

I suspect that posting at midnight while distracted and disinterested was probably my fatal mistake, but whatever, town really pulled their shit together and actually, y'know, started hunting scum towards the end of the game, so they probably got the win they deserved.

I seriously considered shooting PoPP a few RL nights ago, as he'd dropped a few mason-tells, but I assumed he was trying to draw a kill. Bad call on my part.

Out of interest, would mod have called victory had the game got to scum vs. all masons? It seems pretty lame to make the game come down to "whoever gets online first wins".

Oh, also, mad props to whoever it was who caught me there on the last day. It's a bit of a blur that I may have to reread, but as far as I can tell, I made one post, then someone went "Shit, that's scum", and someone else went "Yeah, I've been wondering about 2b1scum", and then "BAM! Game over". That... was kinda cool, in the most rage-inducing way possible, so epic props to you.

I'm only going by the one Newbie game we played where you were town, but you were missing a certain loose feeling to your posts. If I hadn't known who masons were, I might have thought you were adapting your play to being a mason. Given that I'm sure your playstyle has changed since Newbie 1304, it wasn't anything I was super-comfortable using until the end, and really, it might just be a lucky guess. Broken clocks being right twice a day and all...
