if you mean straight from the abandoned mine shaft, that was me... i was taking them when i thought it was an unexplored one and eventually wound up in your house >_>

I joined up with the lobby tunnel network and doored off some abandoned mines and placed some signs and everything. Those abandoned mines are horribly confusing, i kept getting lost.

I had a couple rails in my tunnel to the lobby, but it's cool.

I finished my rail system to the lobby. Please no one mess with it or create holes into the Abandoned Mineshaft and or ravine. I put some doors into the mineshaft to keep our tunnel system safe.

I don't know. I played for like an hour and I just couldn't get a good start. Like everyone else is so much farther that I don't know what to do.

This is minecraft, anything ¨far¨ that people can get (diamonds, nether stuff, etc) can be gotten by anyone from scratch in 2-3 hours with not much problem. On the other hand, no one has yet built anything like the cool looking buildings we had on the previous server (the MME castle, the birdcage, etc, etc).

A few things that have not been done yet:
- nice roads for our city
- Mob farms
- castles and walls
- beacon towers
- Snow buildings

etc, etc.

Feel free to chat me up if you want more precise ideas of ¨things to do¨.

Oh I found a spawner in the abandoned Mineshaft. I have it roped off for now. I think it's either a zombie or spider spawner. I found both near it, but was able to encase the spawner before I could see it spawn something. It spawns Spiders. Coordinates at -329, 44, 185

Adding to that list. We need a safe and clear path between the spawn and village.

I was going to try to tackle a tunnel to spawn later tonight. I'll tie it into the tunnel system under my house, since i think my house is closest to spawn.

You will need Admin help since you can't mess with blocks near the spawn.

Just finished a tunnel from spawn to the Lobby tunnel system

It starts in the spawn guest house by the chests (it was just outside of spawn protection).

Its all scenic and shit, you should check it out sometime


OK, its not completely finished yet still needs some prettying up but its a complete, safe path no mobs.

Just used Rhinox Tunnel: It is awesome! Also, T-bone made a stairway from the spawn mountains to the town, for those who are too claustrophobic to use the tunnel. It is a nice place to snipe monsters

We are now trying to fix the gravel roads in the NPC town -- if anyone has spare gravel, it would be most welcome!

The Via Spawn road is very cool. Very scenic, and you can slide down the waterfall too.

We connected Rhi's, Chrono's, and my homes with roads to the NPC village. NPC village is lame, we should rename it.

Rhinox built a great tunnel from the Spawn to the Lobby, and we also built a chute to my Spawn Treehouse. Rhinox's tunnel is brilliant, as he annexed an abandoned mineshaft for it and it looks really cool.

Also, I did manage to get some gravel from the ravine. Got killed once, almost got lost, made it back to get my stuff, and made it back out with 2 and a half stacks of gravel . It was quite the adventure I'll put it to good use tomorrow, or someone can grab it from the chest in my house if you need it. I think Tbone finished the roads though by the time I got back

Speaking of the chest in my house, anyone know why the animation won't open and close anymore? It just always stays open...

P.S. I didn't plan on using the mineshaft, but the spawn tunnel just coincidentally ran right into it

Also Chrono (I think) decided to improve my monument to me, and put my name up in lights! It looks really cool.

Yeah, it was me.

Andy, Implosion, and myself have created a highway in the nether to fortress, which contains two (2) blaze spawners. Good for XP and Blaze rods.

My house contains a double chest pretty much full of fire resist potions, just be sure to put them to good use too. Incidentally, I'm always happy for gifts of slimeballs.

And as for the Netherwart farm, make sure to replant.

okay so I made a kickass checkers/chess setup near the jack o lantern house underneath the t-bone signature complete with pieces and key.

Checkers is self explanatory

Chess has a piece key on the signs there, but here's the key on here if you need it:

black:
pawn - redstone torch
knight - Jack o Lanterns
bishop - stone stairs
rook - stone pressure plate
queen - sandstone slab
king - redstone repeater

white:
pawn - torches
knight - sand
bishop - wooden stairs
rook - wood pressure plate
queen - wood fence post
king - lever

please replace pieces if you lose them.

I'm sitting at work wishing I could be at home playing minecraft...

Anymore "work" that needs done around the village or spawn? I'll be on tonight, I'll do some "work", and then I'm planning an addition to my little waterfront home I've been working on.

I think the roads are nearly complete. We don't have a road to DH's home yet, and there might be a few broken ones still in the village.

One thing I want to do is light up the whole village. There are still too many dark spots for mobs to spawn. I think if we light up the town properly, we can eliminate instances of Creeper destruction.

That requires getting more glowstone though. Unless someone wants to donate some to me.

Where is DH's home at? I have a couple stacks of gravel.

I've been meaning to spend some time in the nether so maybe I'll go get some glowstone. We're still going to have the issue of mobs spawning at the edges of town and then wandering in. We won't be able to fix that with lights unless we light things up a good ways away from the village. Or we could build a fence or wall around the village?

If you mean that section from the stairs to my front door, don't worry about that.

We can't make it perfectly safe, unless we circle it with fences/walls and light everything inside, but we can improve the safety rate. Also, even if we don't have enough glowstone, we can spam torches as a temporary solution.
