I have just been informed that Mackay is away and will be back by some time early next week.

Feel free to do with that as you choose.

If a large number of people make the same request, I may consider following it.

Hi all, I'm here, but I wasn't able to get an investigation in last night. (...if I am the kind of person able to investigate, yadda yadda yadda...)

I will go with everyone else for now:
Vote: Spinacheater
.

I reckon that it wasn't any kind of special ability that saved Spinacheater, I think it was just our poor cruddy town had a poor, cruddy rope.

I am suspicious of someone else also, but I want to wait until I investigate them. Sorry for the inconvenience everyone!!!

Once again, the town gathers and decides to lynch SpinachEater.

They grab the rope, check it for sturdiness, yadda yadda, noose around neck, throw over branch, PULL!

And the rope breaks again, this time because there was a particularly sharp bit on the tree branch that cut the relatively weak rope through.

And once again,
SpinachEater
escapes death by lynching.

It is now NIGHT. Have all night choices to me by 6pm ET(USA) Monday, Oct. 7 (11pm GMT).

The mafia send a henchperson with a gun and a single bullet.

The person goes to Cadmium's house and shoots him.

Cadmium
was a townie, but now is no more.

It is now DAY. Three to lynch.

The town elects yet *again* to string up SpinachEater, and this time it works.

As he is hauled up, he yells "But I'm innocent!"

And indeed, he was.

Congratulations, town, you lynched yet another
townie
.

And as such, the mafia wins. Congratulations!

If you all would like a brief explanation of all roles, let me know, and I'll explain a bit better, as well as the probabilities.

Wow. Um, whoo! I never win as mafia, and rarely win at all. :) This is a new experience.

Mackay, did you not find SpinachEater to be innocent? Or anyone to be guilty?

I doubt she is, unless there were two familes, one of which somehow never killed or got killed. If so, which family won?

Yeah, I would definitely like to know what was going on with DoomCow and the gun jamming and the rope breaking, etc. etc.

Also.... were there any doctors in this game at all?

Also.... GO MAFIA!!!!

Okay, when I was planning this game, I noticed that I would be running MiniGame
13
. Therefore, I decided to do things based (somewhat) on luck, as that number has such interesting connotations in the world.

As such, there was exactly as much doc as there was saboteur, as you will see.

Roles:

Townies. Six of these.
SpinachEater, Dragon Slayer, Jesternl, Dragon Phoenix, Mith, Cadmium. You should know this one, you lynched them *all*.
Their one ability is the lynch. Their ropes were in poor condition, thus the occasional breakage. There was a 1/3 chance of breakage; blame the dice for the poor turnout this time around.

Mafia. Three of these, no godfather, no name.
Eillid, Cuban Smoker, CaptainBlicero
They got one kill per night, as standard. However, because they were poor, their gun is in poor working order and did not always fire correctly, thus causing them to miss their target as they could not afford to use more than one bullet per night. Their was a 1/3 chance that the gun would misfire. They got lucky in getting most of their kills.

Cop. One of these. Mackay.
She got to investigate one player per night. She had a 3/6 chance of receiving correct info, 1/6 chance of no info, and 2/6 chance of wrong info.

Black cat. One of these. DoomCow.
This is a new role afaik. Rather than absolutes, he was able to affect the likelihood of something going well for the player. Think of it as a sort of saboteur with actual power. For any action attempted, he made it 1/6 less likely to succeed. If the targeted person is targeted for any kind of kill, he made it 1/6 more likely that the person would die. He won if the mafia won, even though he was able to target the mafia and thus reduce their chances of killing, as he was more likely to help cause the death of a townie.

And the one role that was not discovered during the game:

Tri-Color Cat. One of these. Polotet.
Also a new role afaik. Opposite of the black cat. (Tri-color cats are considered good luck in many cultures.) He made it 1/6 more likely for an attempted action to succeed. He also made it 1/6 less likely for the target to die in any kill attempt. He won if the town won.

So, that's Luck Mafia. Kinda confusing, but fun, no?

*grins evilly*

And as I've got the modding bug, I will be co-modding Maf7 at Brunchma, located in Toontown, shortly. Signups are happening now.

Oh, bah.
Seriously, bah.
But well done, cuban smoker especially, you were the last of my suspicions.
A large proportion of this loss can be blamed on me,and my untimely absences, sorry everyone. I kept missing deadlines, even though I was trying to get internet access every couple of days, I guess I just timed it badly. Captain Blicero WAS very high on my suspect list, but then, so was Polotet, so I guess it could have gone either way.
Once again, bah.

mmm... what an odd game. I thought I was in trouble on day 1, like Captain Blicero pointed out in private email one night, but after that, I think my actions convinced everyone I was townie.
Good job all, I personally believe. And I think the setup was pretty fair too, given the luck involved, so props to the Mod.

mmm. I think I'll light this special cigar I've been saving for this one opportunity...
