I'd be lying if I said I wasn't rooting for the Jets this week for the sole purpose of the elimination thread.

I rooted for them near the end, thought it wouldn't happen before then

I went 12-4 on overall picks for the week

Brady is gonna bust a blood vessel sometime this year.
Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

TBF the panthers problem is more a deficit of talent than anything else.

Yes, but when your backfield is as talented in short yardage situations as the Panthers is, and your D is fairly devoid of talent in several areas... And you don't even try and utilize that strength to just put the game away....

You're a bad coach.

Defense is all we seem to care about... and not for nothing, I'm hoping we bomb the season and get clowney. Then for 4 straight years we will have drafted DLine in the first round. Wilkerson, Coples, Richardson, *Clowney*... we could have BEASST dline.

I'm trying to make sense of this move, but really can't. Maybe a browns fan can chime in. Did the Browns just not see the "elite" that makes him worth keeping during a rebuild?

If they're one of the front offices that views RBs as an expendable resource that can be fairly easily replaced, then they might be looking at a Bridgewater pick early in Round 1 (Browns #1 overall pick isn't impossible, they're pretty bad prior to this trade to begin with) and then use that 2nd first rounder (likely to be a mid- to late-round pick) on either another impact player or to trade for multiple lower round picks. It really depends on what kind of mindset their front office has. They could actually turn this into something if they're smart about it. You can win in this league with an average or slightly above average RB.

Alternatively, Lombardi is an Al Davis hire, so Zombie Al Davis might just be spreading his awfulness to Cleveland - because they clearly didn't have enough of that to go around.

best comment I have read so far is that they are clearing up cap space so they can make a run at lebron
Robbed of a scummy for what had to be the best unvote in mafiascum history.

the whole game is dumb and we don't know why we're good at it and nobody knows what is going on and we're all going to have to accept that

The sad thing is that I'm imagining the Vikings STILL blowing the game on Sunday now.

Surely it's impossible right? But this is the same team that blew a divisional title in it's final game against a horrible Cardinals team in 2003.

i think this was their problem in the post-Delhomme years, when they were getting blown out every week

but now, they're losing games at the last second that they should be winning; i don't think it's just lack of talent
