Won't people who know they will be shot just commute?

I guess it could still be worth doing because on Night 2 we'd know who has commuted/who hasn't. Honestly though, I'm tempted to just say everyone do whatever they like and we'll see what happens. I'll think about it a bit more later.

This just feels like a setup that could be engineered by town to secure a win.

Actually it won't work. I was thinking everybody picks a target and then nobody commute. But I realised scum would just commute and all town would die. I'll think of something else.

Ugh. I'm too lazy for this. Maybe later, although I will share my thoughts on the stuff that's been brought up.

@Drmy: The idea of getting two scummy people to shoot each other sounds good objectively, but I don't think I'd really feel like cooperating if I was one of them, especially if I didn't really think my target was scum. Do you think you would?

I don't think this game is breakable. We all have literally the same role, so town has no strong advantage that can ensure a win.

If we have 2 scummy people shoot each other, three outcomes are possible:
2 townies: Assuming the townies are honest, we'll end up with 2 dead townies.
2 mafia: Neither will shoot each other and shoot someone else or do nothing.
1 mafia and 1 town: The scum would just not shoot the townie while using a commute, leaving both of them to be alive.

So that's not an option.

Just a note that this game is a variant of Texas Justice(?) with the design to PREVENT the same game-breaking that was involved in the setup for that (inclusion of one-shot commute).

I've given it some thought but so far I haven't really thought of anything.

I had an idea but it is less effective in light of there only being 7 players.

The idea being our second scummiest shooting our scummiest after no-lynching.

Perhaps you are right. Given that this is a new setup we are sort of the guinea pigs, but yeah, don't think they'd make it too easy for us.
But I'll give it more thought.
