I'm V/LA now through Monday, but I'll try to play by phone.

Also, I'm pretty sure I'm the only player to ever win this game without even moving off the 0 mark.

COME AT ME BRO.

If it's only you, the answer's worth 0; otherwise, it's the total number including yourself. Player with the lowest score for that round moves (presumably) one position up/down. When someone gets the lowest score in seven rounds, the person who's had the lowest score in the least amount of rounds wins. Anything I'm missing?

Also, in the example, shouldn't SleepyKrew get 8 points, and bubbajack 10? (That doesn't exactly change the standings
here
but I think I can see how it might)

All that aside,
/in. Something tells me I won't not join based on the answers to these.
Admittedly the way the "position system" works is a little convoluted at first, but once you grasp the concept it's not hard to understand. I think it adds an interesting element to how the game is scored rather than just who scores the most points.

Okay, after that first question, SK would be in the 1st position while goodmorning and bubbajack remain at the 0 position. If SK were to get the lowest score again, he would move again to the 2nd position. If one of the other two players had the lowest score, they would join SK instead. This would continue in this manner until one person hit the 7th position. At that point, whomever is in the lowest position would be the victor.

And, no, SK would get 10 points:

Dumbbells = +3
Stationary Bike = +3
Rowing Machine = +2
Free Weights = +1
Swimming Pool = +1

Total Points = 10

If you're still confused, go back and read through a few pages of MoS's game. Honestly though, you don't even have to really worry about the scoring part as I will manage all of that. All the players have to do is submit answers.
He's referring to your third rule in the scoring area.
Players score zero points if they give an answer that matches no other player during a round.
Oh! Y'all are right. Thanks for pointing that out to me. I'll fix that in the rules right now.

Oh, and one more thing, guys. If y'all could put either "What Were You Thinking" or "WWYT" somewhere in the subject line when you PM me, I would appreciate it. :]

Just hitting the PM button on any of my posts in this thread will work fine as well.

You should allow people to /in at any point in the game, but just put them in tied for whatever last place currently is.

Eh, I thought about it. I want to try it like this though. People can still join after the first question, they just won't be eligible to win.

A couple of things I want to point out preemptively. I took liberty with typos/different spellings and through them into appropriate groups (e.g. lasagna vs lasagne). Additionally, although I realize spaghetti bolognese is often interchangeable (at least in the US) with spaghetti, I'm still marking it as a different category because one necessarily refers to a specific dish while the other is far more broad technically speaking. I'll be making judgment calls like these. If you don't like it, you'll have to run your own version, lol.
