I got a light TR on SJReaver for his post pointing out he read my scumgame and noted he believes i'm skilled at playing as scum. It doesn't seem like something scum!him would just casually put out there if it wasn't a real worry for him.Norwe is spontaneous, has a stream-of-consciouness posting style, usually posts on catch-ups by commenting on past pages posts, gets rather fired up in certain moments in games, is relatively as playful as me in games and likes casual shitposting

I was bored waiting for this one to start and then the thread sucked me in. It was like binging a soap opera or a season of Game of Thrones. In post 27, Bell wrote:hey Reaver, why did you read that large game and when did you start reviewing it?
I hoped it would help me become a better player. Mostly, it confused me.-

I see, so when you got your role pm 2 days ago you started reading that game?In post 28, SJReaver wrote:

I did notice a serious lack of engagement from you at points. You strike me as someone who likes a mental challenge and when you're allowed to coast as scum, you mentally check out. When the pinch is on, you suddenly become more active. In post 26, NorwegianboyEE wrote:I got a light TR on SJReaver for his post pointing out he read my scumgame and noted he believes i'm skilled at playing as scum. That you've made an appearance and are reading people this early suggests the basic set up of the game (find the bad guys) is helping to motivate you.
As days pass, I hope you remain that way.-

I think so. It feels longer than two days. I've been lurking in the sign-up queue waiting for this game to start for awhile. In post 30, Bell wrote: I see, so when you got your role pm 2 days ago you started reading that game?
Odd question. I thought you'd ask if I'd picked up any hints or scum-hunting tactics.-

It seems like you tried to grasp their characteristics.signature-

The problem is that town had some very strong players... but those players still made poor guesses. By the end, I thought Almost50 was one of the best scumreaders I'd seen. I was sure town would win with him in the final three. When Lucky flipped green, it didn't expect it, because Almost's logic made such good sense.
I'm still processing it.-

So happy to be out of newbies and brushing shoulders with the great minds of mafiascum.com
Hey Lapsa, what do you think of Bell's line of questioning? Is how someone responds to a role PM alignment indicative?-

Given the size of this group, how do you feel about eliminating low-activity slots? In post 37, Town looter wrote:Oh yeah, derp.
This game is hilarious, I have no fucking idea what to do, the number of people is overwhelming. Good to have some familiar faces though. Might be able to get a solid read for a change...
Do you agree with Norwegian that vigs should shoot early?-

Unless there is good evidence of lurking, no. Mis-elimming an active slot will generally tell us more than a mis-elim on an inactive slot. This obviously only applies to early game, activity will be a useful source of information later in the game because of how easy it is to fly below the radar. In post 41, SJReaver wrote: Given the size of this group, how do you feel about eliminating low-activity slots?

I've never played a setup with a vig, and haven't really thought about it. So not sure, probably defer to other's better judgement on this.signature-

Disagree low activity players are better for scum to have around. Elimming a high activity slot just for info is not a good ideaIn post 43, Town looter wrote:Unless there is good evidence of lurking, no. True, you said elimming higher activity slots gives more info which is 1 not necessarily true and 2 implies elimming high-content slots is not that bad which is harmfulIn post 47, Town looter wrote:

"Scum syntax" arguments are heresy.

From my long experience of playing with Norweegian (1 game!), he screams town when he's town. My ears are open for the scream.Norweegian:I'm changing your name to Marshal Zhukov after watching that video.
