This thread isn't the place to argue about the merits of lurking.
I'm not thrilled by the title not because of any concern about rewarding bad behavior but instead because it's just decidedly mediocre. A lot of people lurk and simply putting lurker in his title seems incredibly unindividualized and bland.
Routine day with a dirt cheap brush
Then a week goes by and it goes untouched
Then two, then three, then a month
Then the rest of your life, you beat yourself up
I notice that we're nominating people for bad behavior.
Nominate Who for "Nominate Who"
on the basis that he blatantly and shamelessly violates rule 3 of this thread and nominates himself for titles. And for making a nomination which is a joke. Such bad behavior must be recognized with a title.
Being more serious, I agree that regardless of whether or not it's rewarding bad behavior, the title "lurkerscum" is incredibly lame.
Nominate mafiassk for "Has been prodded"
Someone suggested it somewhere without actually nominating him for it, I think that this would be a much better alternative to just "lurkerscum".
Who said that?
Chamber. It's all a conspiracy.
Or is it?
That's still just a title for lurking. Even if we ignore the "titling for bad behavior" issue, "has been prodded" means nothing beyond "this guy lurks", which isn't interesting or unique.
I want Who to get this. Or just "First". Don't do it though.
Shouldn't title for lurking IMO - though it looks like that in itself isn't a problem?. But is there something clever that mentions the lurking as well as referencing something else about him? There has to be more to this guy than loopholing. But don't force it just because someone suggested one title. Seriously. Thank you.

It's my understanding that people get titles around here based on their playstyle/what they're memorable for/a key part of their personality/etc. Does a title alluding to MafiaSSK's lurk tactics fit these criteria or no?
It's been my experience that MafiaSSK's lurktactic isn't nearly as annoying or detrimental to the gamestate as some are making it out to be. Maybe I'm just lucky, but when he posts he posts decent content and isn't that the main thing?

A title is supposed to be something special/unique/memorable about the person. A title for lurking could equally-well apply to a lot of people, so it's a bad title.
Does he actually get prodded? If not, then "Has been prodded" doesn't work. I feel like if lurking is the thing he's going to do, he'd be doing it with the right timing to post as little as he feels he needs while not actually getting prodded. But I haven't done the background check. Just based off the mentality of his "using the rules to your advantage" post.
That sort of play would warrant some clever "Prod Dodge" title. But if he plays to get prodded then that one's fine.
If tans gets a title, I'd like to put forward ideas relating to him being the MS videogame Santa.
So many times I've seen him post in the VG thread "oops I bought a 4-pack, who wants games?" or "PM me with a game you want and I'll buy it" or "first person to guess this gets an expensive game". He's randomly messaged me on FB saying "hey do you want this game" and I've seen multiple people post "so tans just got me X". (I could try and find examples for all of these but I'm lazy.)
Not even lately, he's been doing it for a
while
, too.
I'd rather find something like that than give him a title based off recent negativity, although if you can find a title that pokes fun at that at the same time, by all means.
If you don't know how to lie, then how do you know when you're being lied to?
No snowflake in an avalanche ever feels responsible.
Yeah, if we're considering giving Tans a title, it shouldn't be for the creepiness drama that spawns around him every once in a while. The video game Santa angle would be good if someone can find a non-forced title to make out of it.

You're missing something important here.

Keeper of Keys. Has Game/Got Game/Too Much Game?/etc.
Can't think of any more right now. Do they work for him? I don't know things. I just say things.

I like "Has too much game" or something of the sort...it kind of plays off of both the gifting of games, and his tendency to hit on girls unsuccessfully.
"Sees you while you're sleeping" sounds a little top creepy for my liking, and I'd rather emphasize the game thing more.
