Two of the people who said they were most suspicious were wolves.

Ps I guess dunns over-focus on traitor signaling was itself signaling?

You were right in my play was vastly different from other games but wrong in my alignment. I got lazy this game so I guess I deserved some of the scum reads towards me.

Shit happens. I've tunneled before I'll doubtless tunnel again. I tried, REALLY tried to get anyone to make a case on you town since I wasn't seeing it at all. I don't know what (other than "read better" I actually could have done better here).

Well I was correct in that ploben/ranger wasn't t/t, so "if panther lynch ploben instead" I think was still fair...

Also game setup was "first to three lynches"with a bodyguard and tracker (unless wolves shoot traitor). That's BRUTAL for town. Panther ran it as 10v3 w free day talk on MU, IMO that was better.

For real, though. Granted two of the three players town reading me were scum so there's that. But you did give Panther AMPLE opportunity for those town posts of mine.

Maybe he couldn't find them and didn't want to look bad back tracking on his read of me, lol

You never really made me notice you - that, in and of itself is pretty excellent praise for a mod.

Dunn and Ranger seemed pretty obvious to me.
Dupp had me totally fooled.
I have no idea why anyone wasn't voting Ranger this phase though, I really don't.

Fun game though, fair amount of twists, town never seemed to get its feet under itself though for a variety of reasons.

I also think town was hurt by the volume of posting. I believe there were 5 players with over 400 posts each - 4 town plus the mafia traitor. Which that much to analyze, it was fairly easy for the scum to just ride along for the win (and I don't say that to take away from mafia, that's a valid strategy).

I will say that I deserved this loss. I worked damn hard but was barking up all the wrong trees :(

I rarely apologize to towns after a loss... This one I should. Sorry town, I sucked :(

Ps I gave ranger some cushion today bc she really was sick... Otoh I never saw panther as any kind of obvious town. Hard game to solve.

Again, preach it. An even player day start totally puts town in the hole. I suppose the balance rests in the fact of no mafia PRs without an extra TPR.

We got hosed with the TPRs this game. Iwanna see those random generated setup rules Pers! :P

Gah! After you started reconsidering the game you should have pushed me harder to look at Dunn. If you did, my bad. I got lazy in the middle of the game. But I think I reconsidered your alignment somewhere in D2.

I actually disagree - except for the last phase and some Day 1 lethargy I found the posting to be generally in line with scumhunting and game progression.
There is a difference between a thread bloated by info and one bloated by fluff.
If you get "lost" because of too much info, then you have deeper problems beyond people posting too much.
As an example, my reads in this game were pretty solid - I didn't even read most of Day 1.
That's because you don't need to read every post to scumhunt, you just need to read the posts that matter.
In post 3488, mhsmith0 wrote:Also given how badly I shat the bed here, I'd LOVE some advice on what I could/should have done better.
Remember Day 1 when I said that there wasn't a Thor case nor a Ploben case - and you disagreed?
That's what I would point to.

There never was a case on either of us - there just wasn't, yet people kept pretending there was.
You need to get better at honestly assessing cases. I think you get lost in the leaves and stop looking at the trees, if you get my meaning.
I'll happily expand on this more if you don't grok me.

Please do. I thought your Dunn case was weak and undersold, and didn't see what you said you saw, and it seemed like a vanity wagon instead of anything solid (the "let's invigorate the game" bit drove me batty). And I thought the ploben case was legit. As for btd6, they're lynch bait or scum and it's DAMN hard to tell the difference.

Ps why was ranger obv scum instead of just inscrutable and unsharing (which I think is inside her town game too)?

@ploben: chips point about you gloating was I think fair. Your late game to e was really weird for someone who's spent all game as the counter wagon to town wagons. Like, if btd6 was scum, gloat away, but since they weren't, that meant that you'd had a legit issue.
