Isn't it more likely that mac missed the night? he didn't post at all yesterday and requested replacement as soon as the day was up. I've seen a couple 'oops i fucked up better replace' moves since my return; there appears to be less stigma attached than back in the day.

Maybe. This is what I was leaning towards, except Displaced seems to want to push me for it. And now I'm getting paranoia flakes over the whole matter.

And watching somebody replace out as soon as 4-person lylo begins really saps whatever motivation I have left for this game.

but the only other player Majiffy white knighted was Hannibal. Majiffy is a meta aware player and bussing is becoming less effective whilst scum on scum buddying is becoming more prevalent. That ASOIAF upick I mentioned to AP? Here's some stuff from the mafia QT from Cephrir:
I want to hard defend a scumbuddy to look town later (funny how that works) but I can't cause yall arent towning
jegus titus stop bussing

people bus so much more than they have any reason to, i dont get it
the bussing for no reason pile doesnt stop from gettin taller

lets throw the whole game away while we're at it

If you're about to push a lynch on ANYONE about being online during the night, I really feel bad for you.

If I thought it was indicative enough for a lynch, I'd already be voting you. It's 4p, not like scum can quickhammer.

I also recognize that a very large part of why I want to lynch you is anger at Mac for abandoning the game at lylo, forcing a replacement to deal with a giant game and forcing the town to try to form a read on that player despite the short deadlines.

OK, so I did the isos on both brian and mac and reread the vca.

I didn't have any problems with brian's iso other than frequency, but that's hardly evidence. I didn't like mac's fight with AP, but that was garbage on both sides. So we look at VCA:

Spoiler:

A3: {

B: {displaced,
ika
,
DrunkenLies
, sthar}
C: {Mac, BS,
Thez
}

We're looking at one of 2-1-1, 3-0-1, 3-1-0 (in order of likeliness, imo). Given the first formation, 2/3 of the A groups have scum, the third one being clear. Given the 2nd or 3rd distributions, it's likely 1 scum per group.
In post 3758, alienBRO wrote:3 scum within {Mac,

1 within {Mac,

1 within {

, BS,
G&C
}
{
Natirasha

Let's cross-reference this with my VC analysis from day 1's movement:
[...]
There's no perfect way to resolve this cross-reference, so I'm wrong somewhere. Probably the best proposal I can give now is:

{
Natirasha
}
{
Goodfather
,
G&C
} (scum->town)
{Mac=
Thez
}
In post 3792, alienBRO wrote:My current read list is:

Turbo-town:

displaced, sthar, Mac

Probably still town:

BS,

Scum:

Thez

Now obviously, they were wrong on thez at the end, but current theory is that they must have shown an inclination to lynch the last scum at some point or they wouldn't be dead. AP went into 7 with a hard on for Mac IIRC, which doesn't look great for brian. I know there's WIFOM there, but I'm not sure how much. I'd like everybody's opinions on this.

Next up, digging into displaced jic and going back over AP's iso.

After a quiet day, there was only one thing to do—race on. The last of the MRC in Las Vegas should be discovered shortly, you figure. But not today. Not enough info for that.

What will become of the last four racers?

Nobody has been lynched on Day 8.

Night 8 ends in (expired on 2014-02-22 19:43:36).

It's... quiet all of a sudden in Las Vegas. Has the Midnight Racing Club gotten lazy? Are they unable to kill to save their life anymore? What the hell is up with them? And who is still infiltrating the Death Bikers? It's time to get back to work.

No one has been killed on Night 8.

Day 9 ends in (expired on 2014-02-26 23:55:01). We're not there yet, but so it's public, I'm calling it a draw after three day/night cycles without a lynch or attempted kill.

Yeah, that's fine.

And just so we're clear, this isn't something I'd try to go for as either alignment. And this perpetual no lynch bullshit isn't something I'd do, ever. Whoever the last scum is needs to grow some balls and lynch somebody because we're already at two no lynch/no kill cycles and I don't believe in the town having to force a lynch when it's in their favor NOT TO.

It's your game and you have the final say, but I disagree with you that town trying to increase their odds of winning is being "lazy." And this is essentially punishing the town for trying to make the best play. In a game with 4 claimed VT's remaining. The last scum is just being a coward.

I'd respond to this, but I'm fine with your policy (especially since I think it's pretty standard for this situation). But I still disagree with you that town is being "lazy" for trying to play optimally.
