Tests went well; server move is a go some time in the next two weeks.
Ping numbers are showing no change for most of Texas, zor.

Ugh, after clean installing windows 10, I can't play LoL.
Whenever I try to start a game it crashes with a generic error message.
Probably ned to update .NET or something but I can't figure it out and I'm mostly just annoyed at how flimsy the LoL engine is after several years of this.

it might also have to do with your internet explorer; i often have to clear all data from that in order for league to work

Seriously? Cause I dont see how that could be related at all.
Re drivers: they should all be up to date...and drivers is a super generic thing. I could try updating my video card drivers but my card is pretty new and I installed the drivers from CD with my clean install. This is what I had done before on W7.
DirectX might be an issue. Supposedly league needs 9 and Dx is currently on 11. There was some hacky fix with putting the correct Dx9.dll files in the system32 folder that evidently worked for a lot of people on the internet. Didnt help me.
I'll try this a bit more tonight. The biggest part that sucks is that I even found the windows logs about the game not starting and....nothing relevant. Riot is the one to blame for this since it has tons of dependencies that it shouldn't have. Extremely old versions of .NET and DirectX evidently. And really my video card driver shouldn't be the issue here.
ITs gotta be .NET or something....

I think it has to do with how their client is written. I heard that that was more of an issue before the most recent client update, though.
You can also delete an optional file and get around it; it's something that used to make patches go faster, but has no real effect anymore. The newer installations don't include it at all. I can't remember what it was called.

Yeah, that was the one.
I got the league blood thing, too. I hope they let gay people participate somehow. I'm sure they will.
