Based on Hopkirk's posts from that game, I feel like that was not his first game of mafia, and I believe he is a more than capable of a player to play scum properly. Given his experiences in the aforementioned meta, he should know that accusing someone of not making RVS votes is capable of leading to a wagon regardless of if it is a mislynch or not. Now the interesting part of my post is, we can then analyze if his

The purpose of this post is to let you know that I have genuine interest in the response of the players I mentioned previously.

I didn't try to break it. I'm interested in why you posted what you posted, and concluded that it is not pro-scum.

No, see, that's not how it works.

Even as scum its very unlikely any scum making an RVS vote would be voting to lynch (yes secretly they may want it to happen) but they won't be voting for that purpose thus you can never find the
scum intent
you are looking for. Both as town and scum the intent can be to 'prod' more information. As scum the intent is at its most basic level to blend in; to look town.

In post 49, The-Duck wrote:Its weird that you say you don't like RVS, but question the motives of the first one to try and break it?
Now what makes you think you were the first one to try to break the RVS?
In post 49, The-Duck wrote:However, Jake just came in the thread to make a comment on a joke instead of the other things that were going on. To me this feels like an attempt to prolong RVS, in which scum can easily hide and waste time without any risk of screwing up.
In practice, how do often do you think scum actually try to prolong the RVS? Have you ever seen this actually occur?

Anyway, that said,
Vote: Jake from State Farm

because keeping my vote on Yiley is pointless, and Jake doesn't seem townie yet (a lot of other people who I won't specify do).

So you decide to question and throw suspicion on someone for being suspicious of someone then just going right in and voting that person yourself... I don't like that.

My point is that what emo said was “Call me when you post real content.”
This implies that they want to avoid (possible scumslips) by taking part in anything at the start-where most d1 lynches come from in some way.

The question I’m asking is that if nobody did rvs or anything like it then how would
you
start the game? (@Emo)

@Slandaar: So you think there’s a magic-chicken-daycop in the game? Wow you have great reasons for you vote when we’re getting out of rvs.

1. I am not throwing suspicion on The-Duck, I will tell you that right now.
2. Jake is kind of useless right now relative to the amount of posting he's done.
3. Therefore I'm voting him.

UNVOTE: JKLM
VOTE: Hopkirk

like this wagon better than anything else that's going on. specifically, these two comments bother me:
In post 31, Hopkirk wrote:I'm waiting for him to follow up before any read.
In post 45, Hopkirk wrote: It seems what you’re saying is you’ll wait for someone to say something scummy then jump on them for it.
the first because it makes it sound like his read on Alduskkel is artificially constructed, the second because it attacks emogirl for post 41 and ignores the existence of post 42, which makes it obvious that emogirl is not just waiting around for something to jump on. if Hopkirk was making an honest attempt to evaluate emogirl's alignment, as opposed to just looking for things to attack, i don't see how he'd have reached that conclusion.

in other news, Yiley is feeling very town to me.

@Iama:
31=I wanted to see what he'd say in response to alduskkel. His reason for vote was obviously rvs vote but he was attempting to justify it.
45=The thing here is that emo did wait as opposed to actually helping start things. The questions were something they wanted to hear while my question i wanted to hear/still want a little more on.

Also ald you are asking him a question and they way it is worded sounds like you are suspicious of him. So I may just be reading that the wrong way but that is what I'm seeing. There are people who have contributed less than jake and producing less content and such, like sonofzeus. If you want to vote someone up who hasn't posted much why not him?

I'm gonna hop right into the game on the Hopkirk wagon. I feel like he's trying to position himself as a town leader early on and that's a pet peeve of mine. Let's put him under a magnifying glass.

I wasn't very clear earlier. A scum would however look at a previous VT game they played, and
act in a similar fashion
. This was the main point of that post, and I didn't feel this was highlighted enough.

Ald said /62 it's because of the amount of posting with a lack of content rather than the look of genuine inactivity that others may have.

@Jake: Yet your vote lacks substantive/any reasoning.

@Grey: Why? Btw considering i'm still semi-random atm i don't think i'm leading the town at all. Helpful hint: Generally if you accuse someone with the biggest wagon on them as leader the town then you probably don't understand what leading the town is.

@Emo: So could you answer my q so i can vote someone else?

So he is positioning himself as leader by having L-3 on page 3? How so Mr. Gnarl?
