If you can't even use a grammatically correct sentence to support your idea, it's obviously flawed :teach:.

Twomz iz da coolist personist person in da hizzouse!

(That sentance was gramatically flawed, therefore by your logic the idea must be flawed. Therefore, sadly, Twomz must not be cool.)

This can be easyly disproven, just watch:

If u cant even use an grammatically correct sentense to support yor idea, its obviously flawed.

If the idea was true, then this scentences idea must be false, wich is coincidentally the same idea. Heh.

I have a serious issue with any board that allows members to curse eachother out. It appears this place has changed since I left? This thread leads me to believe this type of thing happens often... it's really disheartening.
Ever wonder why that edit button is obnoxiously placed in the center like that? Yeah, that's cause of me.. and trust me, it's better off there.

I would have a serious issue with a board that would censor anyone who violated a subjective list of what you can or cannot say.

I guess we just have different opinions on the matter, and we'll just have to agree to disagree or some other cliche like that. :D

(shrug) Cursing is actually fairly rare in mafia games. Some mod's don't allow it at all, some do, but I don't see people actually "cursing each other out" often. When people do curse, it's usually just for comedic effect, like in this thread.

Actually, in a game I just finished, this guy named Romanus, who was scum, latched on to my calling a guy named mikanoff a fool, etc, (Which was true, I swear!) dubbed it "An appeal to emotion" (Scumtell) and got me lynched, winning the game. I mean, he had wiki references and everything.

That was an interesting game to say the least.

If you want a good, real example of how Jerkbag tactics work (or don't work), you should read Graduation Mafia. As scum, FrAt intentionally acted mean/vicious/sarcastic towards Ibby because he felt it would help his position. It had some noticeable in-game consequences (me telling them to stop, Ibby freaking out and saying she doesn't want to play with FrAt ever again, Ibby getting OMGUSy, a couple of other players eyeing FrAt, Ibby searching FrAt for a gun [and finding one], etc....). We talked about it a bit after the game, too. I think it's an interesting -- and very pertinent -- read.

Was not, Captain Meh.

And in the short term, it worked as planned. If saying someone sucks can cloud someone's judgement enough to keep you alive...

If you're scum, shouldn't you be looking long term?

It appears, based on what people are saying, that the "string of unfortunate occurences" are a direct result of the aforementioned style of play. I'm not sure this validates your line of reasoning, it's more akin to saying, "My strategy would have worked if not for the fact that I lost".
