Cancer's Daily Horoscope:
Stress could have you feeling uncommunicative today. You probably aren't going to want to talk to anyone, even your dearest friend, Cancer. This might prove difficult, as people around you are going to ask for advice and help. Keep your cool. This feeling will pass and you won't want anyone to think you're upset. Go to lunch alone, and tonight crash on the bed with a good book.

I don't buy his claim, if that is what you are asking. We agreed that the vig was to be used today and he wanted to save it for a guilty.

I was going to berate you for this, but I kind of agree with this, actually, having looked back at what Salamence posted during that time...I don't know why Salamence posted the stuff he did about the dayvig if he was the dayvig himself.

The chance of Salamence's claim being real is like 10%. I thought he was joking.

On that note, i changed my mind.

No useful content. Juls also doesn't have much content. Sort of hammered salamence. Salamence is likely town, worth at least keeping around if cop to verify.

I'd be willing to switch to Xayzeck personally; I will not vote Salemence today. I will reassess tomorrow.

Ironically enough, I'm not so sure about that anymore, at least as far as Salamance is concerned. I find his claim rather dubious, specifically the fact that he didn't claim with 2 hours to go until deadline. If he was actually a cop, I would have expected him to claim at a time when it was still actually feasible to build another wagon. That he then claimed immediately after the vote count reset seems to me like it's more of an excuse for keeping the daykill hidden, which indeed wildly contradicts his stance on the matter at the beginning of the game. I can technically understand the desire to hold the shot from a cop perspective, but the extent of the subterfuge is hard to swallow.

StrangerCoug, ToastyToast and Iecerint get townie points for their incredulity.

Also bold for irony. All I remember from your slot is a lot of neutral early day stuff from Juls before petering off and a readlist upon your entry.

Salamence has posted in other games since I made my comment about his claim by way or StrangerCoug. I think he is avoiding this game and hoping that the reservations with his Cop claim will be ignored if he ignores this game.

Unvote; Vote: Salamence20

I think his discussion of the dayvig early D1 is inconsistent with what a town player who was the dayvig would say in that situation. The simplest explanation is that he viewed his dayvig status as part of his "scum" status and instead simply said things that he thought sounded town. If he were actually a town cop dayvig, he would either ignore the topic altogether or steer it elsewhere -- not set-up a situation where the dayvig awkwardly doesn't happen at L-1.

In post 170, Salamence20 wrote:About dayvig speculation: I love the dayvig, it's my favorite role in all of mafia. That's why I asked who had my dayvig in my RVS. I then said the dayvig should out on PG 2, for the sake of town controlling the shot, something that has been mentioned by other players as well. The argument against this was "mafia controls the shot if Dayvig outs." How so? There are more townies than mafia. If town holds the shot, we play normal and shoot the person we want to lynch, then get another lynch. Even if mafia disagree on our shot target and try to manipulate the shot, they are the minority. If 8-9 players want to shoot player A and 4-5 players want to shoot player B, A dies regardless of the number of scum on the other wagon to shoot. So i don't see the problem. If mafia holds the shot and refuses to shoot the player the majority wants, chances are the dayvig is scum defending a scumbuddy or WIFOM. We lynch the dayvig if they refuse. How is this scummy? Hell, STD stated the same thing I did about the dayvig.

Town holding dayvig doesn't post shit like this.
Scum hiding dayvig for endgame does.

In addition, why did he shoot Elyse? The two people he was pushing hardest for the few moments he was around were: Xayzeck and PV. Do I think he'd give up the chance to take out a top suspect over Elyse who I'm pretty sure he never mentioned at all? No.

And why the fuck didn't he just out if he was a cop? If he was a cop, he would know the wagon would come off him and he wouldn't be lynched and could thus still keep the dayvig hidden. As scum, there's a chance he gets counterclaimed, dies immediately, and loses his shot.

I have not evaluated the extent to which that is valid, but if it is, I figure it may implicate one of them given a scumflip, especially since Elyse had been under a bit of scrutiny already. It could also imply that Elyse had an uncommon-but-accurate read.

Pedit: It => PV/Xayzeck having more Salamence scrutiny than Elyse. I doubt Nacho would make it up tho so.

L-1 I think.

Yeah, I misanalyzed the situation.

Still think Aronis' attack on Sal was shady.

That was my thought as well, and it seems like a glaring neon sign points to PV over Xayzeck but that might just be me.

OK, my thoughts on a few people not-Salamence:

I am now questioning my earlier Iecerint scum-read. #561 does not look like scum bussing a buddy in trouble to me as it introduces new information to the game. That's town effort.
Apathetic about whether Aronis is lynched or not at this time. He's almost a non-factor in this game, and I haven't liked what I have seen. I would like for him to step it up.
I need a refresher on the Xayzeck case—I had him as VI.
Nachomamma is still town, Gemini Blind, CrashTextDummie, and Dry-Fit I have in my town block.
I don't have a strong read on PeregrineV or ToastyToast.

So we got a second chance to lynch someone who wasn't Salamance... and we've decided to go back to Salamance... Who might be cop. Personally I think Aronis has been less than useful to town, and more likely to be scum. Then again it would be nice if Salamance showed up again. I don't know. I think it's more likely he's a frustrated townie. I don't know what my brother thinks because everyone's jump on the wagon probably occurred since the last time he's seen this thread. I'm keeping our vote on Aronis right now, and I'll talk to my brother before the deadline about what he thinks.
