Uh Mhork, there's a pretty big difference when you know what team you'll be facing and competitive battling - movesets are by far and large different, if anything.

Let's discuss this reasonably, because most of all I want the battles to be fair to everyone. What advantage does a player have against another by using Hidden Power, since they both have access to it? Since everyone knows what Pokemon they're facing each round (excluding that fact that teams will soon get teams larger than 6 Pokemon) the only Pokemon Hidden Power really favors is Froakie due to Protean.

One thing to note is that Hidden Power wasn't banned in Gen V Little Cup, and now its power is even less.
