Okay, I'll try not to do that next game I'm in. (I figured that RVS and RQS are basically the same thing, just a bit of randomness at the beginning of the game.)

They're basically the same thing, but, in my opinion, the advantage of RVS over RQS is the lack of a formula. RQS openings usually look pretty similar across the bored; most people ask standard questions, some people ask silly questions, some people answer, some people don't, the game moves on. It's a hell of a lot more awkward to get the came going when mafia in RVS because there's nothing that you're supposed to do; so you let other people lead and get the game started, but that in and of itself sets you apart from everyone else, there's also a pretty long awkward period where people don't know what's a serious vote and what isn't and certain reactions can be telling, etc. In short, RVS celebrates its ambiguity while RQS tries to fight it. Does that make sense or did I get lost in a ramble?

Long story short, it basically means someone who's trying to look town so much. RQS is an example.

In this case, it seems like he just posted it because that's the standard opening on his site.

Frustrated townie or scum trying to avoid pressure by removing themselves from focus?
The neglection of this particular game makes me lean the latter.
This coupled with the OMGUS vibe of his reaction to his pre-game wagon is worrying.

Note 1: must look at both his scum and town meta of receiving early votes/pressure.
Note 2: thenewearth has been the most talked-about/scum-read player so far.

Okay, time for thoughts on everyone :

Blizzard :

We know he is there, but not much more.

e_is_cool :

He stayed pretty consistent when accused, so good point for him I guess. We also know he's played some games elsewhere, so he might be experienced. I see it in his debate with Harry on page 2, for instance. I don't have much else to say, and he's not there at the moment.

Harry :

A pretty active guy. But being active isn't always being rational/helpful, and a lot of his posts are there for the count (all his posts on page 1, for instance). To be honest, his writing one-liners after posts (like "X is active) quite annoys me. He sometimes asks good questions though.

Faalcon :

He's town. He's also me.

Franky :

Like Harry, he asks a lot of questions, not all of them relevant. All around I get a "wait and see" vibe from him.
Storma : I'm waiting for him to say something.

Parabola :

He's been with us for little time. He gave us some advice on nacho, and is taking part in the earth lynch.. Plus he cannot count.

Earth :

The more I read his posts, the scummier he looks to me. He votes e_is_cool because of that RQS thing, which is okay. But he completely misreads that RQS, and gets all butthurt when voted. Then he votes e again despite having no motives (plus if he was doing a RVS, he'd do it on someone else I think).

Nacho :

He is both helping us understand the game/debate and confusing us on himself. Looks like someone trying to be unclear on whether he's town or scum by giving us insight on his playing. Looks pretty neutral to me for now, and quite informative.

Uneasy with this snap-shot of everyone - some observations were more info/activity-led than alignment indicative-led.
No direct interactions thus far with any players though.
