I dont know what else to say. Im the BP. I am wondering why Dave would claim BP if he knew there would be a CC. Im guessing to just cause confusion.

He claimed despite knowing there'd be a counter claim because it's a last ditch effort by scum to save himself. I still think he should be lynched.

Well that's just great. It didn't seem like you'd believe me when I said my mislynch was going to let scum win, so a fake claim was my best shot to avoid it. I even let it go L-1 to make the fake claim seem more real. There was a 50% chance of the game not having a BP, and I wanted to catch scum saying "that's a fake claim because there isn't any BP", since they'd be the only ones who could know that.

I knew the other 50% chance was that there would be a BP (who might or might not counter) and I'd probably get burned if they did counter. But that 50% seemed a better risk than the nearly 100% chance of a mislynch and immediate loss.

He's saying that he fake claimed bulletproof because he didn't want to die. The argument works equally well from town or scum.

Ok. Ive thought quite a bit about this and reread Daves posts. I have reached a conclusion but I would like to hear what Jelly, Seraphim, and Drixx have to say about Daves claim.

I think I'm still feeling like Davesaz is very likely scum with {Seraphim, FWTJR, numberQ} as the likeliest partners, in descending order. Diego's crazy "theory" post that never made sense as an actual theory, unless he knew something and went looking for thread evidence to back it up, admittedly plays a strong role in the ordering of that.


Davesaz admitting to the fakeclaim almost confirms Snscompt1. There's an edge case where the scum team could include Snscompt1, and Snscompt1 could have realized Diego was the jailkeeper, and known that nobody could counterclaim BP truthfully (as scum if his team has no roleblocker, then seeing a JK would confirm that the town had no other PRs). It borders on the insanely high level of ability to believe that he could have seen that and breadcrumbed a fake out for himself. If he did so, he kinda deserves to win.

This is what I was looking for. I actually believed Dave for a moment and started doubting myself. If I was town and everyone was after me and I knew I had nothing to lose, heck yeah I would fakeclaim. Scum could do this too, but they KNOW there is a BP and KNOW someone will CC. So why claim in the first place? It just seemed weird and out of place as scum. But he keeps saying "scum won't do this" or "only scum would do that". Not a town response.

He's causing me to have second thoughts, but I feel like this is the best chance at making it to tomorrow.

It does seem like a really ballsy scum play ... but it is super effective. Even I am in extreme doubt right now.

As a general rule, the only town role which should ever lie in a newbie matrix game is the doctor, and the doctor should lie in the form of "I am either a tracker or a bulletproof" so that no other town PRs get drawn out by the lie and so that scum also cannot know. That's really the only scenario in the open setup newbie matrix games where lying is the right play.

I'm going to be really irritated if Davesaz is town. That said, I know there are three other townies in this game alive with me, and not one of you made any kind of case to go after someone else. I said I'd take responsibility, so if this is the losing move, it's on me.

He remembered his grandfather, who would add parmesan cheese to everything he ate, but then he recalled a friend from long ago, who insisted that parmesan was the root of all evil. It was as if DeasVail had a shoulder angel and shoulder devil, but he couldn't tell which was which!

After a long few minutes that consisted of screaming, giggling uncontrollably and DeasVail's very poor attempt at 'the worm', the aspiring dancer experienced an epiphany. The cheese must go!

I'm having a hard time seeing snscompt or Seraphim as scum, and I'm still suspicious of JellyRolls from my post 790 yesterday. My preferred lynch right now is JellyRolls, but I'll exercise some caution unlike yesterday and not vote right away.

What are everyone's thoughts?

I was thinking Jelly or Seraphim. I doubt its yoh for reasons already stated but if it is, good job.

Jelly hasnt done a ton. Yet he made it to end game.

I simply dont like Seraphim. I thought the way he wanted us to lynch yesterday was a bad idea and he was trying to force a mislynch, but then Dave was scum. So I dont know if that was a really clever bus or if hes town.

I am 95% sure that Jelly is scum and would vote Jelly in a heartbeat. If sns is scum, he played a masterful gambit and probably deserves to win because he definitely could not have planned that with his scumbuddy. I have a strong townread on numberQ and sns looks to be confirmed town now (barring tinfoil). PoE says Jelly. That's my thought process, Jelly can try to convince me otherwise.

We could also try no lynch but I am very confident in Jelly lynch today.

Mm. I dislike how all three of us think its Jelly. At worst thats two town thinking Jelly is scum.

I was thinking about No Lynching but since Im the BP, I will die. Maybe not tonight if I havent been shot yet, but eventually I will die. Then itd be 2v1 and it only takes 2 votes to lynch. Much easier to get a mislynch.

I will wait for Jellys response.
