The standoff is resolved, but the danger is not yet passed:

Assassination Plot
President Chooses:
The Admiral (JDGA) and the current player (JDGA) must both discard 3 Skill Cards and draw 3 Treachery Cards.
OR
The Admiral is executed
Basestars Attack, Jump Prep

Note that if you pick the top option, JDGA must discard a total of 6 cards and draw 6 Treachery.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

Discard the following:
Declare Emergency (LEA 4)
Executive Order (LEA 1)
Launch Scout (TAC 1)
Launch Scout (TAC 1)
Quick Thinking (TAC 0)
Evasive Maneuvers (PIL 2)

Wouldn't mind a mission to offload the incoming TRE 0 before it gets me brigged, and possibly getting around to airlocking LLD since I'll most likely be able to pass it on my own with this.

And that's also good for a jump. Destinations sent to JDGA.

Also, JDGA to decide whether to stay in space or land.

SPEAKING OF THANKS GAME
If the Crisis cards aren't going to play nice, can we PLEASE at least have the Destination cards be a
little
more helpful?
Apparently not.
Deep Space - Distance 2. Lose 1 Fuel and 1 Morale.

At least we're on top of fuel efficiency again.
And staying in space, because two actions > you.

How about you stop telling everyone what to do?

That sound good?

Like, the next time you think it's a good idea to tell someone what to do, or be a general cunt, just go find a dick and stick it in your mouth.

This game stopped being any fun a while ago. At this point, if it were a real game, I would have revealed both my alignment cards and left.

I'm sorry that this happens under your game Sudo, I generally don't get this fucking pissed with boardgames.

But dickless wonder over here is just so fucking impossible to deal with.

When people speak, I listen. I expect the reverse to be true. Sometimes we don't like the message that we hear. So it goes. A basic tenet of communication is that both parties can speak their mind.

I categorically don't understand why you're so angry with me, and I'm happy to talk it out.

'if it were a real game,'

This is a real game, and there are real people here. If we were around a board game, I would have served you up a scotch and soda or whatever you drink, sat down with my buddies and go "hey now, take it easy. Something's got your goat." We'd put aside the skill cards and the dice or whatever and chat. Sadly, we can't do that here, but I hope the sentiment gets across.

LLD, I've had enough of this. You are being abusive and I will not continue to play when you are being like this. Your behaviour this game has gone way over the line. I have looked through Sky's posts and whilst he may not be playing to your idea of good play, he has not been insulting to you. I ask you to extend him the same courtesy. Because whilst this may not be fun for you, it is certainly not fun for me either.

I'm ok with spending my game brigged.

I'm ok with having to deal with the consequences of shooting a town player.

I'm ok with being called a cylon.

It's when I'm doing all three, and one person is going out of there way to just antagonize me that I start to lose it.

I get it, you think I'm a fucking cylon, what purpose does:

Sky_Paladin wrote:I appreciate your effort, but the best Cylon award is still going to LLD. I think you should have played your super crisis last turn.

This post serve. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I mean great, you express the opinion that you have done that you think I'm a cylon, for the millionth time.

When I try to talk to other players about things, nope, can't have that, I'll be answering for them and doing my best to annoy you in the process.

I already fucking said that I didn't want to interact with him, and tried to ignore him, but he went out of his way to poke at me again and again.

Every time I walk into this thread to catch up, because I don't want to have to have Sudo prod me anymore, I just get a facefull of it.

And it's driven me mad.

So yeah, my emotions are on tilt. Sorry if that's made you uncomfortable. I can try to reign in my frustration and rage.

Up until 862 I had no idea you were genuinely upset. I thought you were just being a cylon deliberately trying to provoke/distract town. After all, it already worked once - I brigged you when I totally could have drawn another quorum card at the same time for free, and forgot. I reflected carefully on how I could make such a careless mistake in between turns.

Thereafter, I also considered that our assumption that you were a cylon was not necessarily proved. It was possible another player was - in fact, right up until you asked if it was time to shoot somebody, I thought it was JDGA. So, post brig, I poked you and observed to see what happened, because you were
not
behaving in a way that I thought town would.

I wanted to be sure we had a cylon in the brig.

If I was in your position, I would do something like:
Protest my innocence
Try to find the real cylon (after all, if you're town, then you're the only one who knows the cylon isn't contained)
Try to contribute in some other way e.g. suggest tactics/strategy
Try to contribute in some other way e.g. suggest players take actions that you can assist with
Try to contribute in some other way e.g. XO other players, since they can effectively take a full turn for me instead of my single-action turn.
Not play cards that have a high risk of backfiring (Mutiny card).

***

So the purpose of my gentle barbs was to try to get some genuine towny response out of you. Instead we've only got rage. The closest thing I've got to a public reason for your anger was in 862 when you seemed upset that I was 'telling people what to do'. However, you seem to have forgotten that at the start of the game you were very helpful and chatty, and frequently asking for opinions. After the sleeper phase, you started being less talkative, except to outright threaten to shoot me if I helped on CDB's check. That was, in fact, our first interaction, and you shot me anyway. It's a very different Cally that we've seen, and it seems quite unfair for you to call me out for 'telling people what to do' when this has been your MO ever since I joined the game.

That big change in character, the decision to shoot me when there better alternative options, and the continued attitude has reinforced my opinion that you are a cylon and I have to leave you in the brig.

I'd rather not execute you in case you are town - we can't afford the morale loss, plus, if you are a final five, we also can't afford losing the cards.

If you are town, then I implore you to start acting like it.
You are the only one who knows if we brigged a cylon
. Many of my posts, while humorous, also were intended to provoke a towny response that I have not seen forthcoming.

So, now you know. I won't remind you again.

I have told you that I am not a cylon multiple times.

I have mentioned that maybe unbrigging you only engineer to repair locations might be useful.

I have been using all my XOs in checks to pass (which, btw, I added 8 points onto a 22 point check with 2 cards).

Playing a mutiny card that is upside, morale, downside losing some card advantage, is totally what we need at this moment in time.

For me, I'm dead convinced JDGA isn't a cylon, and I'm not a cylon, which means it's either you or the last card and there's only one cylon for now. The progression for shooting Sky_Paladin seemed forced to me.

I am sorry you are upset, I know this game to be a lot of fun.
