I've been meaning to bring up the idea of a map reset for a while now. I think it dlcertainly needs to be done to coincide with an update, but I don't think 1.5 is the right update. There is talk of an update to the biome system in 1.6 or 1.7 - this will doubtless change the game in many ways, and I think this is when we start a new map.(Mostly) on hiatus until further notice. Planet MafiaScum 2 will be modded by Inspi and JDGA - go check it out!-

This would be massively unfair to some people. I'd bring 4 beacons, 55 diamond blocks, a perfectly enchanted set of armor, tools and weapons, along with a fuckton of other hard to obtain materials. This is not fair, i believe. I think that it would be better and more vanilla if everyone started at the same place.-

All of these are fantastic ideas, IMO, since the additions of the Mods are either ore/tool related, or dimension-related.
This means that people can either choose not to use the new Ores/Tools or they can choose not to use the new Dimensions. I myself already have Tropicraft after your previous suggestion, and I love it. The Twilight makes another amazing addition in the form of what looks like a fascinating new Dimension to explore, while the Battle Towers seem to be a fun and exciting new challenge in the Overworld. Inficraft's new stones, ores, and tools look fascinating - especially the new Bricks (OBSIDIAN BRICK OMG GIMME) - so I'd sign off on all of those I just mentioned plus Metallurgy and ExtremeBiomesXL. That list looks like the makings of an excellent Modded server BUT for Christ's Sake...there's bound to be some conflicts between those Mods.
If not, go all out.
Except for Mo' Creatures. I can and always will be of the opinion that that Mod overpopulates the world.
If there is a way to pick and choose what animals to add then fine, but I would prefer that one be left out.
Have you considered Thaumcraft and have these Mods (particularly the structure generation ones) been checked for conflicts?
I can do that now client-side, if you'd like.
P-Edit @Maru also: regardless of when it will be connected to the domain name, do we have the actual server running yet? Same IP?-

the only conflicts are the item ids and as long as all have editable configs that is fixable, and i found a nifty little Mod-Install plugin where i can zip all the mod.jars and configs and files and such and etc into one nifty little .zip then you dowload the .zip and run it with this program and it installs them all where they need to go to match my configs.
its much simpler in practice than it sounds, so it'll make doing this easy.
I also found a nice Chest Lock MOD (not plugin so it works with forgemods instead of bukkit) so this is DEFINITELY going to happen sooner or later.
other than id-conflict, i got all of these and much more to run side by side in a singleplayer once.
link me to thaumcraft i think i vetoed it on the premises of too advanced.
New IP same domain name, server is in BUT NOT WITH OUR FILES yet, our files will be popped in sometime tomorrow, and replace the temporary map that is in place now.ShowReturning to modding after a nearly two year hiatus!
