Well howdy, I'm IcemanE.

The story behind my username is: back in highschool, I bought a "Top Gun" bumper sticker and put it on the 1987 Toyota Camry I was driving at the time. A friend of mine started calling me Iceman, a nickname which never stuck, but which I always thought was cool, even though Iceman in Top Gun is a dick. The "E" comes from the first letter of my name. Sadly, when it's not properly capitalized, icemane (ice mane) conjures up images of frost-ringed lions, which is why i eventually abandoned it as an AIM screenname.

I don't remember the official opening questions.

I have looked at but not fully read games I didn't play in. More often, I look at the MD threads.

I would say my MS idol is probably armlx. I like his style. I wish I could play more directly like he does. Oman is another player I admire, along with roflcopter.

My favorite thing about MS is how efficient it is. Also, there are a lot of funny and interesting people on the site who make mafia worth playing.

The worst thing about MS is the clubs I noticed popping up on the discussion forums.

My favorite alcoholic drink is a white russian.

I like mango lassis.

Stand by Me, The Big Lebowski, and Christmas Vacation are a few of my favorite movies.

I don't really like ice-cream that much unless it's combined with something else, like apple pie or chocolate cake, in which case, vanilla.

My favorite musician, at the moment, is either Jaki Liebezeit (drummer for "Can") or Zakir Hussein (best tabla player in the world).

My favorite mafia role is the godfather.

I really like playing with Korlash.

I really dislike playing with dcorbe (though I don't know if he's around anymore).

My favorite mod so far is shadowlurker.

My least favorite mod was babygirl86.

I think if the original nickname had been icemane, I'd be a much different person right now. Cooler, probably. Sadly that's not the way it played out.

Favorite scumtell would probably be a really subtle slip about role info or something that you get caught in - the best example of that for me would be when Adel noticed that I said "pms" instead of "pm" - because the scum got two pms that game, one with the link to the QT - and then Adel proceeded to own me.

My least favorite is among OMGUS, "bandwagoning", and anything that has to do with changing your mind. I feel like people need to realize that these games take place over months and months, plenty of time to reevaluate situations, so thinking differently about something that took place on day one eighty days later is NOT a scumtell.

I plan to be a lot more concise and post a lot less often.

The next year?

I plan to master every aspect of the game and be THE dominating force on MS. But realistically, I plan to improve my analysis, meaning my ability to pick up on cues and organize a proper case more effectively.

Traveling outside your country of origin, which country do you head to and why?

Ireland or Costa Rica - two countries I've already been to - or Hong Kong, a place I've never been.

Aussieland = win and i'd love to go there too.

I like David Sedaris' and Joyce Carol Oates' short stories.

My favorite play is Waiting for Godot, and other than Shakespeare and Death of a Salesman I don't have much exposure to plays.

What I like most about mafia is being worked into a corner and being forced to fight my way out - as long as I'm not in a situation where people are going to be swayed one way or the other by someone's reputation as a player - that's frustrating. That's why I tend to put myself in situations which make me look a bit scummy or crazy - it just adds a lot of variety to the game. I'm lynched often and rarely NKd - so making the game fun for myself while perhaps being a bit anti-town is something I need to reign in.

What I dislike about mafia is long night phases.

What keeps me coming back is variety. That's why I tend to sign up for theme games over normals. Additionally, I'm now modding my second game and it's my first theme, so that's a lot of fun too.

I played my first game on this site. I don't know why I wasn't lynched. I sucked, bigtime.
