Wouldn't you say that "majority" is a bit of an overstatement? Wouldn't you say romanian is spoken mainly because it's the official language, and speaking hungarian is frowned upon? Wouldn't you say that while speaking languages is one thing, the major cities and towns in Transylvania are populated in majority by Transylvanian Hungarians?

No. Demographically the the Romanians with Hungarian origins in transilvania represent about 35% of Transilvania's population. There are only 2 counties out of the 14 counties in Transilvania (Covasna, Harghita) that have a majority of Romanians with Hungarian origins. In Transilvania the Romanians of Romanian origin ARE the majority.

Romanian is spoken mainly because most of the inhabitants have romanian as their native language. Speaking hungarian is not frowned upon. It is very normal in all the Transilvanian towns i've been in so far and hungarian was being used very freely.

That is a false statement. Cluj-Napoca has a 20% population of Hungarian origin, Zalau has a 30% population of Hungarian origin, Siubiu has a 7% population of hungarian origin, Alba Iulia has a 3% population of Hungarian origin, Baia Mare has a 15% population of Hungarian origin and the list can go on.
