BASE GAMEPLAY

0. If you don't know how to play Mafia, please use this handy flash tutorial.
1. All votes should be

bolded

and use this format:

Vote: Name

. No "unvotes" necessary as your latest vote will be the one counted.
2. If a majority is reached, then the person with the most votes will be lynched.
3. If a majority is not reached by the specified deadline, the person with the most votes will be lynched. This deadline may be extended (see below).
4. [Added As Of Post 19]In the event of a tie with X votes when the deadline is reached, the person has the earliest Xth vote cast against them will be lynched. The vote count will always reflect this order.

5. Players may opt to not take action or to

If a majority votes "No lynch", the day will end and the next night will begin.

6. Vote counts will be posted at the top of every second or third page. Frequency depends on activity.
7. This game is meant to be played with the first post always displayed. To do that go to Profile --> Then scroll down to "Always show First Post on every Topic Page" --> Choose "Yes" --> Scroll back down and click "Submit"

SPECIAL GAMEPLAY

1. This game is Nightless, which means the Mafia have no Nightkills.
2. The Mafia Lover Pair may talk to each other using a Quicktopic provided.
3. This is an Open Game, which means all role PMs will open to the public (see below).

DEADLINES AND PRODS

1. Three weeks from when a day officially begins is the minimum deadline for each day.
2. If there is sufficient activity and requests for replacements, I will extend this deadline one week.
3. I will extend the deadline two days for every replacement.

4. Night deadlines are 72 hours from the posting of the death scene.

5. A prod will go out if the player is inactive for 72 hours or more without notifying the mod of V/LA or other issues.
6. A player will automatically be replaced if he/she has not responded to the prod and has been absent for more than five days.
7. I will prod on request.

It was 5:40 am and the sun is peeking through the east side of the room. It was pretty early for most of the monks to be going about their day but as part of the Core six members, you are used to it. After all, you have to be there at your very first Core Assembly for this Lunar year.

You see your fellow members come in from the south entrance of the room, noticeably more awake and enthusiastic than you are.

"Who would want to stay awake for this? We all know why we wanted to be part of the core... That's right... first dibs on Rock Band babeh!", you remind yourself.

But yes, you have to go on this painfully early meeting almost every day, but that is a small price to pay for all those perks that you get as part of the Core. Suddenly you hear a booming voice. It is one of your colleagues.

"May I have your attention please. We have a pretty urgent matter to discuss. Follow me."







All six of you walk through the long corridor. Most of the members are still asleep, along with your consoles in the north side of the monastery. You see nothing unusual as you continue to walk toward the kitchen.

"What are we doing here?", you ask.

Nobody answers.

"Hey! why are you not listening to me?"









































Somebody points to the floor.

"What the f...!"

Day One Begins. With 6 alive, it takes 4 to lynch

I was in a recent Lovers setup and have something to propose: That, a few pages (of substance) into the game, require everyone in the game to post a list of all possible pairings and rank them from most to least likely; additionally, we have all players rank the other players from most to least likely scum. This serves multiple functions which are extremely useful specifically

in this setup

. Last time around, one scum refused to do so and said after the fact that it would have been too difficult to stay consistent with it and manage to not get his partner lynched. The lists generate information, especially about connections, and can force scum into corners and limit their already fairly limited options (I think, out of five runs, Town has won four, and in the one where scum won scum lurking contributed. I propose further that we take this game steadily and pace ourselves and force everyone to contribute and help genrate information and make their stances clear before any Day 1 lynch).

Granted, this won't really happen until we have real discussion, so for now I'll

I'm of the opinion that taking multiple early directions will further limit the options the scumteam has and eliminate, or at leat weaken, the possibility of pairings - but this has not been shown as clearly as the benefit of the suggestion I outline above. Anyway, she also used the term OMGUS where it traditionally would not apply .

I agree with Plum. I made statements like Plum mentioned in a recent Vengeful game (as scum) that probably ended up getting me in trouble later. Or, at least, it pretty much eyed out who my partner was.

As for the game you linked, why do you and farside always bring up THAT game? That is definitely my least favorite game ever on this site. Not my best play, regardless of role. You just happened to get lucky that time. This time, you aren't quite so lucky with your random vote.

That's a good idea. Since only lynching one Mafioso can guarantee our win, and killing two townies would guarantee the mafia win, it is crucial that we be extra careful with our lynches. And I've never played a Lover game before.
